Default RTG Software - Trial cookie test

    Hi,

I am just wondering if anyone has tested the tracking of RTG software, No matter what casino.

It's just over the last week, I have had a friend download a certain casino and deposit there. Then he formated his computer and deposited 2 days ago and now his deposits are no longer tracked in our affiliate account?

Does RTG work on cookies to track affiliate comissions?

Is there anyone else out there that can try this and see if it does the same?

Thank you, I have also asked that one of the casino reps also see if there was an error.

Once the player opens an account through an affiliate link the account is then tagged regardless of the cookies on the players PC or Laptop.

Any future activity on that account will then show on your aff account. That is how it work with CWC Affiliates and I would assume the same all round as its worked the same at other platforms I have worked for also.

If your friend really depositing or just saying s/he is?

After reformatting his computer did s/he download again and open up a new account (different username) assuming all would be OK?

Would be interested in how this one pans out.

That is how i thought it worked, So this is why i would be interested in testing with a number of casinos. We would need NEW and ONLY new players otherwise it would be a problem with multiple accounts.

I was thinking about this all night, and after using the RTG backend for years, I cant see how this would "accidentally" happen. Not saying it is impossible, anything is, but the affiliate ID is coded to the player for life. In order to remove it or chnage it requires a trouble ticket with the RTG helpdesk. Im not doubting you, just that is the reason I asked what I did...Maybe we missing something, but I am willing to share backend access with any MODS from GPWA or APCW, or AGD to see and test this thoroughly.

I have tested RTG as well as many other softwares for years.

    I would like some clarification.

Gamblestop, you said your friend downloaded and deposited at an RTG. Have you looked into whether the player was tagged to you at the first deposit?

If so, than I agree with CasinoJack, I have not seen this happen before.

Also, it would help if we knew the property.

There are cases when a player downloaded so long ago and forgot and are tagged to someone else. If that's the case the affiliate manager can easily check for you. Wondering if that player is tagged at all?

Testing is the best way to go. Let us know how it goes. Many of us will be interested.

    Good luck.

I'd be interested in this too. One of the things I've never really worried about with RTG is whether the tracking works properly because a lot of programs use the default, in built RTG tracking solution - like CWC, for example - and I have rarely seen a disparity between the numbers that show up there in terms of clicks and downloads and my own stats.

    Default Hi

I had to re-think as well, I thought about that it could have something to do with someone already having an account. I have e-mailed the casino which is the NEW intertops RTG casino and will await to hear back.

I will post any information i get.

The person did download from our banner, I am also asking a couple of others to do it as well today that does not have an account there.

Could it have something to do with there old software accounts? Did they transfer everything over to the new platform?

I have also emailed RTG directly just asking if it could be a glitch.
