Yup they are the favorites to win. I just hope the Sprinboks can get their act together and start producing some quality rugby as the defending world champs.

I think the Springboks are in a little trouble. They have the worst pool (relatively tough games throughout), and some of their players have obviously come into the tournament injured. They might struggle, but then again, they know how to play the right football for these tournaments.

I have to say, I'm one of those people who love watching a rugby game live in person, but hate watching it on tv.
I got back from Barca today and I'm already sick of the rugby and there haven't even been any games, just my other half ruining my social life for the next 6 weeks because of it telling me that I have to go with him to this pub and that pub to watch the games..

Oh GOD here comes another RECORD BREAKING game today. New Zealand vs. Japan, I can only imagine what the score's going to be 160 - 0.
I just hope that Japan learned a lesson with the last white wash they had and actually sitck it to New Zealand good and proper. I don't really
care who wins I just want it to be a good game.

The Fijian in me is hoping for an upset. If we beat the 'boks.. there will be partying in Fiji like never seen before... well not since we beat the boks in the world cup 7s back in '97.. and 2005 when we beat NZ!

One of those games where Japan was completely out muscled by New Zealand. I don't think NZ took anything out of today's match going forward. I think SA took more out the Wales match. Any way we're up against a spirited Fiji side tomorrow let's hope the Boks can be clinical in all facets of the game.

wish I knew... Some of the players have no ticker, but the coaching is a little strange: no spare open side flanker in the squad, and why wasn't Higgenbotham (and Mitchell) brought on - at least try with 15-20 minutes to go. Come to think of it Saia Faingaa also didnt take the field.

I have a few dance shows I wanted him to come watch with me, but he told me he would be bored, so I told him he didn't have to go. I used that to my advantage this weekend and told him I will be bored if I watch the rugby, so I got to stay home

I will admit, watching it in person live is much more fun. I don't mind doing that. I just hate watching it on the tv. It seems much faster in real life.

I think there may be an upset in my house if there is an SA vs Aus game and the boks lose. I may end up sleeping on the couch

Watching live is always better but watching it home on the big screen in HD, while having a braai with some mates having a "lekker kuier" with
a "tjop and a dop" can be just a much fun trust me.

Eish my bru, what happened? I'm not sure what went on there hey! I thought the Fijians were going to give us
some gas but after the first 15min evertything looked a bit loose on their end, and then the Boks ended up
giving them such a "Snot Klap" .

At least it wasn't as poor as Japan's performance hey! The game's not over yet hey, they maybe needed a wake up call.

Beats me what's up with the Wallabies, but having a number of key players out will definitley take its toll on their performance. I can't say that they
didn't play well, from what I saw they played a good game but it just wasn't enough to trump the Irish but should Australia have given away fewer penalties that may have given them the advantage. Ireland had 6 more penalty point overs the Wallabies and that's enough to make a big difference especially in closely contested match but what I found shocking is that the Aussies couldn't find their way over the try line even though they had the ball for longer.

The Boks facing the Wallabies "may" be a problem for us but who's to say who will end up in the quarters at this stage. The match between Samoa and
Wales was also a very close game with very few points on the board between both teams and The Boks still have to face Samoa. The entire tourney's
been a see-saw, a mixture of good and bad performances from many of the best teams. I can just grit my teeth and watch how all of this plays out at this point. (I can see that I'm going to be a flow blown an alcoholic after this tournament)
