I watched the movie yesterday. The movie wasn't so good, very predictable.
But for people who work in this industry it is worth watching it. And also for all others so that they won't enter the industry

To be honest they had everything in the trailer that was more interesting . I though it would be something like "21" or "Deal" or "Rounders" but wasn't that good to be honest. As for affiliates entering the field... the learning curve from my point of view has increased in terms of time, the quality demands as well, which would come down to a lot of patience, persistence and hard work. How many newcomers would be ready to do that? Not a lot I think if any.

Saw the movie and probably the most ridiculous thing was handing out flyers with some bonuses (I guess). Yeah, this is how you do affiliate marketing.

Other than that, I quite liked it but just because of the topic and Ben Affleck. I didn't like the main actress though.

Just saw it on a flight. Expected very little. Delivered in line with expectations.

thought the bit where the casino owner drenched 2 costa rican politicians in chicken fat and then threw them to the crocodiles seemed pretty realistic

Well, after reading this thread i expected so much worse. Not that bad in the end, that's what you expect from a movie, make everything bit crazier and exaggerated than it actually is. We all know that this could happen, and that's why the industry got more and more controlled, by players, by affiliates, by gvt, etc...

In the end, hope nobody will watch and think this is what happens on daily basis, but it was still entertaining enough for my flight
