    Hey Maria,

I am not Irish but I came into office wearing green today. I plan to head down to our family bar for pint of Guinness after work.

Happy St. Patrick's day to ya all!

To tell you the truth, I don’t celebrate many things since I left my country 23 years ago. However I do like to see other people celebrating and dressing up.

as you said 'each to their own'

Haha, you should have seen some of the streets in Malta yesterday ... mobbed with people all different nationalities ... partying away.

On another note, did you see the Google Doodle yesterday? It was an image of green stained glass for st Patricks Day and the first news article for St Patrick was this one, which outlines 10 things you did not know about St Patrick....1) He was not Irish..... give them a read.

Perhaps the Irish "claimed him" as their own because of the shamrock fact? And since Green is their colour, that's why they wear green? And then it just caught on?

St George, the Patron st of England, wasn't English either, he was born in Roman Palestine. He is also the Patron Saint of other countries as well such as Russia and Portugal
