    Genuine question:

Why does blogger report such stats and a site like say, ahrefs, reports noticeably different traffic?

Is the difference that blogger is somehow directing traffic at the site versus say ahrefs reporting only organic traffic from Google?

    Hello,

I really don't know how these other sites can track visits to any site. I believe they are rough estimates and have better accuracy for high traffic sites.
Btw, the blogger stats track pageviews, not visitors.

Ahrefs will only show traffic estimates based on rankings, it's never 100% accurate because it only checks for keywords that it knows (and something like 50% of all searches have never been searched before).

No external source will ever know the true traffic of a site, often they can be in the right ballpark but they can also be way off.

At the same time, the blogger stats aren't very good at filtering out bots and that kind of thing...

Be better off adding analytics or something along those lines.
