Just looking into it a tiny bit, it looks as though the scratch cards are really taking off..

I do promote Scratch Card but never earned anything because I always get US players as guests who love to play around but are not allowed to open real money accounts. But I don't care. It's a bit of a service for my loyal US players.

Actually some one asked me about this the other day - Are there any scratch card sites/software that take US players?

The Rival casinos like Vegas Sky have scratch games, but very few, only 3 and no new games are coming. Scratch players are not interested in such offers. That's why my US players like to play the NeoGames scratches, now numbering over 100 and new games coming regularly.

    Hey Guys,

In regards to Scratch Cards, there is a much room for growth as players tend to build an affinity to the product quite quickly, probably due to the fact that almost everyone can relate to picking up a scratch card at your local corner store and trying to win that ever so sought after jackpot.

I find that in terms of acquisition, affiliates need to develop a good strategy to cross sell their own traffic to scratch cards, for example many bingo sites have started to place scratch cards sections and have actually found quite good results form doing so.

I believe the one of the main benefits of scratch cards that affiliates can use to draw in traffic is the fact that scratch cards are 100% fixed odds, and run on a series of tickets - thus guaranteeing winning tickets. This said, players can not only win more, but have a longer and much more fulfilling playing experience when playing scratch cards.

On top of this is the fact this "ticket" system can be placed to several traditional casino games such as slots, thus presenting a pleasant playing experience to the user (although playing mathematically - scratch cards).

This said, with growth in the scratch cards sector, comes the evolution of scratch cards becoming a valid and profitable gaming vertical. In fact, the scratch card vertical is becoming one that is easy to attach to sites with other verticals, as you see many casino sites, bingo sites and even the odd poker site adding scratch cards sections to their arsenal.

So is the scratch card vertical a fad or is it here to stay, well I am confident it is here to stay, here to grow and here to prove that it is not only lucrative but a great vertical to diversify one's gaming portfolio.

    Hope this helped,

    Joshua

Joshua, very well explained, but that is of no help to my US players because you don't accept them.

    Hey Nandakishore,

Thanks, and trust me I wish we could handle them too!

Hopefully soon, with some good news regarding the UIGEA (fingers crossed).

    Take Care,

    Joshua

I've just started working with Mega Money Games. Will let you know how it works out.

I've been working with neogames for some time now, promoting their Hopa and Scratch2Cash brands. Results were really not great. I generated alot of players, a fair-ish number of depositors, but only a few hundred quid. It wasn't great and I know I'm not a scratch-specific affiliate but still, results were disappointing when it came to player value and retention.

Most players were looking for the no deposit bonus. That's it. The few that did come back and with real money deposits didn't seem to stick around.

I discussed my figures with Neo and it was determined that I'd have done much better on a CPA basis so we've switched over to that model. We'll see how it goes.

My own thoughts... overall, I've found scratch to be an interesting idea and it HAS generated some revenue but it's not a wallet-buster. Most players don't ONLY want scratch cards. They like to play them as an aside to a casino session and some casinos (Cryptologic) have some amazing scratch games. Someone will have to be pretty specific in their preferences to wait to join and stick around at a scratch-ONLY 'casino'.

I have also joined MegaMoneyGames. Let's see how it works. They will have to develop quite a few games to catch up with NeoGames, but the games that I have seen so far are quite promising. And Joshua seems to be a serious and reliable AM.
