traffic on internet is the main thing which every one needs. but how to get this? Is SEO forums are sufficient or i need something more?

    NO

Posting in forums should usually not be looked at as a source of generating direct traffic usually.

Now posting in forums within a specific niche could possibly generate some traffic for you depending on the rules of the forum concerning things like direct advertising in posts or signature rules.

As an example, here at the GPWA we do not allow direct advertising in posts, but we do allow sigs for regular active posters.

But we do not allow people to start threads on a subject, just so they can come back later and post links that answer questions that were asked in the thread, especially if being done in a sneaky way, or when the poster fraudulently pretends to be promoting a link as a third party.
This is what is commonly known as "shilling" and we frown on that here.

To explain how this works in the above example, if you (or a partner) would now step in and post a link to the latest greatest seo forum (since thats the keywords you used in the post) the link would be disabled and you would likely generate a warning from the moderators.

However, working forums correctly, and genuinely wanting to help forum members will eventually pay off in the possibility of new clients and direct requests that can lead to sales.

In other words, forums can generate small amounts of targeted traffic over time, but always make sure you understand posting rules before you take a shotgun approach.

that post is exactly the sort that should be deleted straight away as spam. It is obvious it aint a genuine question, look at the username for starters. This would end up with either the same poster or one of his friends dropping a link and recommending something.

Good answer wasted on a spam thread

It will stand, for a number of reasons.

For one, it is a PERFECT example.

As a moderator here, I take a very strong stance against spammers and shills, but, I also take the stand that someone is innocent until proven guilty, and although difficult, must. (some of you might be surprised how often the mods predict bannings before they take place) LOL

As always thebookiesoffers, you have helped in a good discussion, so your post is valid.

Whatsamatter, are we worried this thread might actually rank for keywords like seo forum, forum links, or gambling seo?

    Hope so....lol

I saw that too, why would someone with a username with seo in it (implying they do seo) be asking questions like this.

    Sometimes it is
#1 They have a genuine interest in getting the question answered.
#2 They really do not know what they are doing
#3 They have good idea of what they are doping but think we do not

I try to look at the good in all posts (and people) if I can and always hope it is #1

Gambing SEO is a difficult and intregal part of what we all do, and I couldn't think of a better time to have a healthy discussion on the links here in the forum.

Only forum is not the way of getting sufficient traffic. Use different link building techniques to increase traffic. Social media optimization also good to increase traffic to website.

    Hi,

According to me traffics from forums are completely depend on you because if you are posting there only

    Thanks for nice information
    Nice post
    Very informative
    I like this post
etc etc. with your links in signature then these type of practice will not help you anymore.

You have to post some attractive and informative post related to thread to attract attention of members of forums. Then they will check that what you are saying, and if you are doing good then all will believe on what you are saying. These type of activities can give you some useful traffics.

    Thanks

It depends about quality of your post.
If you are a blogger, for example, and share some interesting thoughts, information and so on, probably forum users want to read your blog.
Also if target audience exists on the forum, you will get traffic from "Marketplace (or smth like this)" section.

Posting on forum can only provide traffic on your website when your website has some content related to queries as it must provide some solution to the reader.

It only depends on what you posted or how you posted it. if you is a correct answer to the question asked in the forum your website definitely going to get the traffic as the main traffic to any website is reader and audience who only visit any page when they like its content.

It won't be a good answer if I say - Yes! SEO forums are for SEO guys and your wouldn't get potential client from here. To get targeted audience, you should for search engine ranking. Go social and build high quality links.
