I was reading Gary the scuba guys 2008 seo tips and came across an interesting tip. I thought I would ask anyone if they have ever used it and have comments whether they have used it or not. I also am not quite clear on his directions.

I can't say exactly how much, but I think long-term this is a good strategy and have seen it work with no reduction in any of my traffic stats other than reducing the bounce rates throughout."
Either I am still too green to understand or Gary was not clear. I believe he is saying that if you do a search and then copy the link in blu on Google's results, you can use that as a link when you go to your site. In this way you have used Google's search many times and the multipl searches will help (no matter how little) to get you recognized by Google. But I have copied and pasted it to look at the code in the back and have seen only a normal link to the site.
Any comments on this technique?
Cathy
