Default Second best bookmaker in UK

There seems to be universal agreement that the Bet365 affiliate program is the gold standard.

Which of the major bookmakers that the average person on the street would know, mainly because they have walked past a bookie shop or who sponsor major sporting events in the UK would you consider to offer the second best affiliate deal?

Ladbrokes, Paddy Power, Betfair, William Hill, Betfred, ect.

Coral as well would be well known to the average person.

Most well known doesn't mean best, argument that Ladbrokes, Coral, Hill's, Betfred are more well known than 365 in the UK at least.

I guess you are looking for the second best affiliate program to 365 rather than the most recognisable bookies?

I'm looking for the best affiliate program from the selection of the most well known bookies where the average person is aware of the brand through seeing the shop or seeing them heavily advertise in the UK market so that would be approx 5 to 8 bookies.

I think you've got them covered in your list. Other well known online-only would be Unibet, BetVictor and 888.

Issue is none of their affiliate programs hold a candle to 365 so it is hard to advise that any are the best to go with as all have their own sneaky terms and issues.

You can determine their popularity by looking at the total traffic they receive, for example

    - Bet365
    - Paddy Power and WH are pretty equal
    - Skybet

I know Skybet is super popular among players in the UK, but I can't say anything about the affiliate's part.

Some really abysmal / ignorant feedback on this thread. Novel idea: Maybe read the threads on this forum about these firms?

Skybet are total crooks who stole all the referred players from 98% of affiliates in one go, closing the program. Avoid like the plague.
Ladbrokes and Coral similarly have stolen / detagged thousands of players from individual affiliates and no longer pay lifetime. You can't touch them.

So if you have to promote someone, that leaves: Unibet (will reduce commission massively if you aren't referring regularly), Betfred (stats very dodgy indeed, nice guys running it but lazy and errors occur too often ie: wtf actually happened on Grand National day you winkers?), BetVictor, Paddy Power / Betfair (those three brands will close you down if not referring regularly). William Hill is hated by many affiliates who have been closed down or cheated by them but I do ok with them (they are badly managed).

So, if you have to promote someone in "second place" then it is (in my order of preference): William Hill, Betfred, Paddy Power / Betfair, BetVictor, Unibet.

Do not touch Ladbrokes, Coral or any Entain (previously called GVC) brands. If you do, then you deserve to be ripped off.

    All stole everything except Unibet.

Unibet is doing what they are doing. On the top their value of UK palyer is extremely low on RS (they are good elsewhere). I guess because of deductions.

For me the 2nd "best" in UK is tonybet (part of 22bet/playamo [who closed 22bet.co.uk with all players...]). Indeed their brand recognition is very likely zero. But from new players they deliver at least something. Def more than Unibet.

Personally I am not sure why people would want to build up new sites to target UK players. Wait till the UKGC cap the maximum stake on slots and tell everyone they can only spend 100 a month on gambling. There will be more money in selling Garry Glitter CDs on eBay than the UK gambling market.

Seems, a large proportion of 'new-breed' affiliates, consider it too hard, or waste of their time, to actual use the search function here at GPWA, or anywhere else, for that matter. Hence why you'll see similar questions being asked here all the time.

One of the popular one's is: What WP plugin blah, blah, blah... Or what WP theme is the best.

My previous post was not suggestion to promote any one, but a reply to the question regarding popularity of bookmakers among users: Which of the major bookmakers that the average person on the street would know?

They obviously know, Willy Hill, Ladbrokes, Betfred and Coral, however, an account on Sky have even those who don't gamble, as far as i know (i've been living in London for 16 years).

If you have a good sports betting traffic there many smaller operators to promote.
However, UK bettors have a higher level of trust in big brands.

The person who was asking was not asking about the best brands, but about affiliate program to promote (suprisingly ontopic question for this forum!).

Yes, you diverted the debate to the most popular bookies. Which somewhat makes no sense to discuss, since they all steal. The strongest brands in the UK are as relevant to affiliate marketing as the best Japanese anime.

    Here is my list:

    Hunter x hunter
    Evangelion
    Monster
    From the New World
    The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya
    Fullmetal Alchemyst
    Mushishi
    Natsume Yuujinchou

That's definitely an interesting debate. I admit one punch is one of few anime I stopped after one or few episodes. But I will give it a second chance.

Indeed I forgot the gambling classics:
    Akagi (not finished, still stunning)
Kaiji 10* (incl. spinoff Mr. Tonegawa: Middle Management Blues which is maybe even 11*)
Shoubushi Densetsu Tetsuya - classic oldschool reminds me Golden boy

or the sport / psychological one:
One outs (it is like Akagi being a pitcher instead of mahjong master)

Definitely all of them have higher value than promoting top brands in the UK. Next time we dare to speak about it, I will post list of samurai anime. If it does not help I will start with shojo...

I would add to the list Tau Affiliates and from your list choose Betfair.
