Fred Update

Hi,

I recently lost rankings on quite a lot of keywords.
I suspect it is related to the Fred update.
Has someone had the same experience?
Could someone enlighten me about when this update took place and what it is about?

Google have not confirmed "Fred" but plenty of people reporting fluctuations. These websites are using black hat techniques or using very low quality content to click bait.

Google is tackling fake news and click bait articles as they are very low quality. As always content is king.

Just another update to get rid of low quality sites.. the game is getting tougher and high quality sites are needed.. the days of cookie cutter sites wirh 10 pages and 100 anchor links are almost over

Indeed, Google is tackling / censoring so called fake news, but only conservative real news.
George Soros obviously is behind Google's CrossCheck.
Right now here in Europe Google's Censor Department is active for the French election.

This "SEO" will be also seen on the German election this year.
And Facebook is also on board.
Never saw so much censorship requests to Facebook from German government since World War II.
The Reich returns.

I don't think our content is poor quality or shallow, but we've also seen some drop offs lately. Normally when a sizeable update rolls through we gain traffic. This is disappointing

Though we had some kind of redirect hack as well, so it's hard to tell what is truly the cause.

Thanks for letting me know about this. I didn't know about the "Fred" update. I understand in removing low quality sites, but I don't like the idea of having Google censor political news. Real or Fake. If they control what we are exposed to, then they will have influence on what we see, and eventually what we believe. I think that instead of censoring Google results for political reasons. (fake or not). The New Yorker and the Huffington post both have sections that are called "Not News".. with stories almost believable. Why don't they tackle them directly? Seems scary.

-Double H1
-many intern Links

All this global players on the seo market post ****,and 200 another pages copy the news
