    Default Site Review

    Hi guys,

I notice a few requests for feedback on sites, and I would certainly welcome some on ours.

    www.thevipcardclub.com

This has been run as concept via offline methods for a while, but has quite recently gone on-line. Would be very grateful for all and any feedback, good or bad.

    Thanks in advance.

It's a nice setup. I personally would increase the font size a bit on the homepage and internal pages. It's a tough read with the small white font on the black background.

I would include some more information on the homepage about bonuses and other things you offer on the site. Right now, there is an offer to signup for the membership, but certainly you offer other things on the site.

    Best of luck.

    Thanks for the response.

I'm a bit torn on the font issue. I think larger has it's benefits, but I'm also trying to keep each page relatively small so there is need for much scrolling. My thinking could be off here though so I'll have to look at changing it.

Definitely needs a lot more content and detail about what we do - working on that now.

    Thanks again.

I think your site has some great potential and looks good.

I do agree with focalclick about the font colour... the size is ok for me, but the white on black is a little painful. Maybe a lighter grey colour would be a little easier on the eye ?

Also, your terms and conditions have numbers next to them that don't line up.

I agree with everyone else. The white font on a black background is hard to read. I've used a similar layout before and had the exact same response from the GPWA members when I started. They were 100% correct of coarse. Readability comes before pure esthetics.

Apart from the font, your site looks fantastic. You've got a great concept. Be carefull that when you start you are actually giving away 5,000 pounds per month. Your readers will love it! Celebrate it.

You'll have to keep your promise!

    Good job.

Thanks for the response. I remain torn on the font issues as I *really* like the look, but the comment is becoming hard to ignore - particularly when from experienced people.

Appreciate the positive feedback too. We are committed to paying out all the prizes we promise and have always delivered to date. This is not something we've set up to make a quick buck but a long term investment which I hope will grow to something very special. I don't anticipate being profitable for at least one year and will persevere and honour all our promises to players.

Again, really appreciate the feedback and thank you for your input.

    All the best.

Mr Kay - which browser do you use? The numbers seem to line up on some and not others??

    Any advice anyone??

    Thanks

I looked at your site again, and it does look great.. I think that if you really like it then leave it the way it is until you feel otherwise. Gold and black is a sexy color combination. You may end up compromising with your inner pages.

If your spending 5000/month for players, that's the most aggresive marketing I've seen yet!. You're bound to succeed.

    Best of luck to you..

    Cheers!

    Hi,

If your going after people with disposable income then your likely to be targeting 35 - 40+ age group. Hence setting your page font to the audience is something I'd serious consider. I'm 46 and although I don't wear glasses (or contacts) I found it painful & frustrating to read one page with such small font on the black back ground.

Also...In so far as the 5K GBP a month giveway.

Great idea, however keep in mind that although you know your serious and this is a legit offer, visitors wont. They have nothing to go on that states your legit.

I'd be making sure I have a heap on content. Also include the following:

    • Privacy statement
    • General site Terms & Conditions
Additional to the 5K GBP T&C's and privacy issues.

I'd also look at rounding the top right corner even the bottom left corner too. It adds a bit extra class to what is now (no offence) a boring table border.

Overall I like the idea and concept, however, I feel the site needs all its content operational as this gives it credence. Otherwise IMHO your running to this risk of people thinking your bogus.

Get all the pages up ASAP including the forum. Viewing a page that states " more coming soon" doesn't cut it IMHO for the market your trying to grab.

    Cheers

    Dave

    Hi friend,

dang...... I wish I had that kind of money to offer as an incentive!

I think Dave makes points........ (as I usually do ...... damn he's smart) ..... for basically all he said....... and no offense meant in any means.

In fact.... I'm (obviously a sad sack ..... to be on the net on Christmas early morn)....... but my problem eh?

anyway...... I do offer this advice ...... and please keep in mind I'm in the states and therefore perhaps what i have to say is not important to your location.

I noticed you have Intercasino as a point of attention. Unless you're totally targeting those outside the states ....... which are ...... well used to be anyway ..... like 80% of the market ..... you are cheating yourself out of the lion's share of players because they don't accept them. just a thought to consider.

actually...... I like th darker background ..... but i have found that is sometimes not the majority of preference...

please keep in mind these are one man's opinion and should be taken as such. that said...... give me credit for offering ...... if that is a fair request?

I like the site ........ but in all my honesty and truth ....... do question your choices of casinos / poker ...... to promote first page.

my experience ........ you'll lose a big majority first page ..... no matter how pretty ..... how qualified ...... how whatever....... it ..... again my opinion....... you'll get the one page shot ........ and then lose considerable ....... no matter if you've got the most popular ...... (girl...... or guy) ...... sitting there naked and promising to visit the surfers house ...... lol.

I think most will agree ...... content is great. keeps the ones that are most likely to convert..... I give that without argue. but please consider .......

most gamblers are ready to gamble.. they are not in the market for content...... not wanting to hear about who the latest hottie is screwing....... they want to gamble. so give your best shot first page.

just my opinion. damn if I was perfect .......I'd be rich enough to not have to visit the forums ...... eh?

*truth is ..... even if I was that successful....... I love these people and would ....... but not really the point i'm trying to make ........

good luck and good holiday to you .......
Almost Here! How would you like to be able to get not just one sign up from your player, or even a couple, but every single casino they join from here on? I've a plan that can make that happen and it will likely also tell you every time the player is active within the casino.

AussieDave - Thanks for your comments. I will certainly take the font issue under consideration as you make a valid point.

Fully agree on the content issue and it's coming!! The credibility is hugely important and welcome any advice on how to overcome that. As well as adding more content as you've mentioned I think, unfortunately, that time is the only solution to that. Once we've been around a while I'm hoping that the credibility will come. We are fully committed to giving away the 5,000 each month as well as all the other prizes we make available to registered members. As people receive their prizes and hopefully tell others about us, then the trust should start to be there.

BB1 - Thank you also for your comments. Could you expand a little on my choice of places to promote? Any other ideas? I will be adding some more, and know I obviously need to incorporate more that take US players.

Also your comment about people wanting to gamble. It's interesting as some of the feedback I've had from people is that when they are looking for a new place to play, they just want to get there quickly and start playing. I'm a bit lost for ideas as to how to make this better.

Anyway, we are starting to build a nice database of members and things are definitely going in the right direction, but I'm equally aware there is lot more work required.

    Thanks all for you input.
