    Default Site Review

I started my website in april last year. Since then I did a lot of changes to improve it. Who wants to review it?
Be honest and tell me what you think about it or how I could improve it.

The texts are in dutch. I try to write 2-3 articles each week. I post reviews, news and promotions. I focus on legal gambling websites only.

    This is the website: www.goedgekeurdegoksites.be

    Thanks!

    Hi Boljoro,

    Congratulation with the site!

I think the logo, title and slide banner at the top are taking too much space and in order to see some information I have to start scrolling down.

It would be nice if you add promotions, bonus and games to your top tabs section.

I wish you the best with your site.

    Thanks for your opinion Maria.

You are right about the title and logo. I don't think I will change the slider size. It has to be something that takes the visitors attention. The banners in the slider convert very good.
In the top tabs under category you can find promotions and bonus in one category "actie" and there is also a games category "spellen".

For the title and logo I have a problem. I want to move it up. There is some "empty" space between the title and the logo. Can anyone find how I should change my page to remove that space? I can't find it myself.
Also if I check the page in internet explorer I have a lot of whitespace between my slider and the first topic. I don't have that problem in Firefox or Chrome. Anyone who has a idea?

I believe you will need to manipulate the position of the div in the css.
    divclass="header-description"

You will probably have to give it an absolute position and mess about with the top and left index.

Be sure to view this in a few browsers until you get a position that works in most browsers at a few resolutions.

I would also suggest to decrease a little the upper side of the site, giving more importance to text... which is something crucial if you want to keep your visitors happy.

Concerning the style, I would change the on-page text color, and I would test with a darker font. Honestly I don't like the font you used in the right menu. But overall it's a very nice site

I finally found the error in my code that caused the whitespace in Internet Explorer.

I also reduced my logo and the header size. The font is darker and bigger now. The background is lighter.

    Please give me your opinions.

    This is the website: www.goedgekeurdegoksites.be
You can check www.gamblingsider.dk for the old design.

    Much better,

In my browser it gets your first headline and the first line of text above the fold so it gives you a better opportunity to grab the reads attention.

    My main suggestion as well.

You should always have very clear and standard play now buttons which work with the banners. Some users have resilience to clicking on clear advertising banners due to the spam that they would have received in the past, this makes them feel they're taking a direct route.

I'd personally also add a small 'Top 5' section in the sidebar. Some users don't want to scroll through posts to find the best offers, they simply want to know what the best offers are and go straight in.

    Hope that helps
