Wow really? Isnt analytics designed to help webmasters? Why would they do that? Its getting a little rediculous with them. First the keyword tool now this. Uggg

Right, Google is NOT dropping tracking of keywords, they just now want you to PAY to see the data.
And if you don't "pay" they still have the data for themselves.

$150,000 is ridiculous - I've been seeing many of my keywords results come under 'Not Provided'
onlinegamblingwebsites.com - Formally known as goodbonusguide.
Gambling Domains: Small clear out of some of the domains we've been hoarding - see the spreadsheet here.
From what I have heard, keywords are not included in Google Analytics Premium, it just includes more custom variables and no sampling.

Just heard about this and can't believe it. This is by far my most used feature on analytics.
Wait is that 150.00$ or $150,000 ......? I don't get the pricing..
Anyways if Analyitics becomes obsolete, I'd just remove it. No need to slow down the loading process.
It will be really interesting to see how this will affect the SEO industry in general and the medium/small size websites/businesses. You will still be able to see the top terms in Webmaster Tools though so there will still be a way to identify the keywords that are driving most of the volume to your site

Ouch.... what justifies that price. As Gordon Gekko says, greed got greedier....

TBH this isn't a surprise though. After it was introduced 2 years ago, we all knew that this is what it was leading to. Check out this site that monitors the average of not provided keywords:
http://www.notprovidedcount.com/
going back a few months even before the whole NSA prism thing, the percentage of <not provided> keywords was already unacceptably high to be able to use it accurately. We for a while having been using other methods to estimate as accurately as we can what keywords to target. Obviously the historical data is helpful in that respect etc.
It isn't going to spell the end of SEO by a long shot. There always some Google caused crisis happening, and SEO's learn to adapt and survive. Otherwise your only alternative is to give up and be out of Job!!! Still, hypothetically it would be interesting to have a world with no SEO's because then definition MAtt Cutts and his 'webspam team' would also be out of a job. So at least some good would come of that

Ohh this is not done ! definitely not good for webmasters .
This is a stupid move. Everyone should stop using Google and start with Bing.
To bad normal users don't know about this and don't care. Only the webmasters will see the difference.
There are some positive aspects too. For one it should help cut down on people trying to keyword steal. Another is that is opens up more time to create content rather than look for what people are searching when landing...
OK, never mind it totally sucks![]()

To be perfectly honest, I don't mind this change.
I think the change is motivated by money (in Google's pocket), but really this isn't a bad thing for me.
If you truly know your market - this is a non-runner.
Who is it bad for? Its bad for someone who wants to be in "the binary market" but knows nothing about binary options. Its bad for those who want to pretend to be professional poker players starting a portal when they've actually never played a hand of poker in their life.
If you know your niche and you know the marketplace, this move helps to eliminate the jack of all trades trying to move into your market. Expert writers take note - if YOU truly know a market, this drives up YOUR value, as your expertise is not faked nearly as easy.

if you run run adwords ads you can see the keywords. except when the pla's auto target is set to all products then its just an asterisk.
this is only the beginning.
