I know this is not strictly a GPWA related post but I hope someone will be able to help.

I have been having big problems with my Skrill account and have not been able to access it for several weeks now.
(Problems are all based around the 2 factor authentication)
I have tried sending direct messages to support from their website, several emails to support address, calling various numbers I have found online... all to no avail. No responses from Skrill and still no access to my account!

Does anyone know how to get hold of a physical person to talk to at Skrill that can help me?!

I was able to contact them through the contact form in the newly designed version of Skrill backend last week.

I was also able to get a reply through contacting them on their Facebook page last week.

Do you have a standard or merchant account with them? They are notoriously hard to get in touch with, there are several threads on here about it if you search.

Yes I know, maybe I got lucky.

Actually my problem was about that. I had a merchant account with them, but then they said I have to close it and open a new personal account. And my request was through my personal account where I asked them to remove my bank accounts from the inactive merchant account.

Btw, are you all using Euro as your currency?
I set up in USD which seems to be a mistake as they anyway make all wires in EU so have to pay their insane 3.99% free every time.

Yes, the are terrible.

My Skrill account is in USD.

I setup a Swiss bank account in USD.

But they convert the USD automatically to CHF (and then my bank converts them back to USD, and I'll have to convert them back to CHF). They don't have a solution for this (I guess they are not interested in having a solution because they'd lose 4%...).

So my solution is to send Skrill USD to my CHF bank account and lose 4%

Or to spend the funds I have at Skrill so that I save the FX conversion fee of 4%. But since they closed my Skrill Prepaid card it has become difficult to spend the money.

Just to update: I switched my Skrill account to euro - opened new one and they automatically closed the old one. My bank account can accept payments in both USD and Euro so just switched to Euro IBAN and that's it. Instead of 4% paid $6.

If you can withdraw in Euro than changing skrill to euro is the solution.

Has Skrill been giving anyone else headaches with verification of accounts opened ages ago? My (merchant) account is 4 or 5 years old, in the last couple months they started emailing me asking questions about my activity, asking to confirm if the site url indicated in my account was correct, and today they sent me an email with a bunch of forms asking for certificate of incorporation, proof of corporate address, directors and shareholders - who do they think I am??? Also they ask for signed agreements with affiliate programs - huh? Anybody actually ever signs paper agreements with any affiliate programs? In the meantime, the account is not blocked, I am receiving payments so I don’t even know if I shouldn’t just ignore all that communication.

Skrill is crap.

I trust more in a bank than in Skrill. With a bank I never have troubles with accessing my account and stuff. With Skrill it's always something. Banks never asked me for signed agreements with affiliate programs and a bank has no interest in affiliate gambling, while Skrill is an affiliate itself.

I do not trust them at all.

They asked the same from me last year. They wanted 2 signatures (but I'm a 1-man-show). In the end, I had to reopen a personal account and close my business account. I was able to change the business account email so that I was able to open a new personal account with my old email.

Yes, correct. I use skrill with just few programs and all pay in Euro.
