Skrill Merchant Conact?

Does anyone have a contact at Skrill who can help with merchant accounts?

Considering they are used by many affiliates to receive commissions they appear to be largely clueless about how the industry works and I am having a nightmare getting my account unlimited.

You have my sympathy. I went through the very same thing a couple of months ago. It took 2 months to get my account verified. The only way I managed to do it was to keep phoning them up and sending emails to merchantservices@skrill.com . What I learnt was:

They are clueless if you don't want a merchant account, although they will still make you fill out the application form to become one!
When you have filled out the form they clearly do not read it properly to understand what you want a Skill account for.
They did get a light bulb moment when the cust rep finally understood i was an Affiliate and my application got sent to the correct department.
No matter how hard you try or angry you get they will not deal you you over the phone, only on email.
You cannot escalate to anyone as they won't give out the details.


I was eventually validated and then able to withdraw the money I had sitting in the account. I was so peed off I swore that I would close my account immediately and never use their services again. However I've needed to keep it open to take payments that Neteller wouldn't take. I guess this will become another issue shortly as they align their services.

That is EXACTLY my experience. You fill the form in explaining you are an affiliate and all you do is receive commissions and then they come back saying 'oh, but what's your website, where is your payment page'.

Considering they are one of the biggest funding mechanisms in the gambling world you would think they would be more switched on.

I even got in touch with Skrills own affiliate account manager to help me. They got in touch with Merchant Services to say that affiliate marketing is a real thing and in fact the company have a whole department dedicated to it. They even signed me up to the Skrill Aff programme at the same time.

As you say if we could use an alternative we would but some operators will only pay (with sensible limits) through Skrill.

I do have one that helped me out with this. We talked over Skype as I was having a similar problem and the address verification letter never reached me. Once it doesn't reach you I think you are done or so I read it but this was a long time ago so I cannot recall exactly what happened. I do remember I couldn't lift the limit to something acceptable like 20-40k eur a month.
