Hi -
Updated this morning - if you hold a snippet you no longer appear in the standard SERPs. No more doubling up position zero and one, or position zero and any other for that matter.

Interesting, yes can see that in action right now.
Guess it will vary by niche and search term, but is there any research into relative CTRs between position zero and position 1 that anyone has found?

I have seen once but can not find again the rates. İ Will post if i find again. But it was way low than position 1.
My personal experience also shows that having 0 position dropped my traffic since i lost position 1. Then i removed snippet and removed position 0, my traffic again increased.
Having position 0 and 1 is big advantage but with New uptade it is harmfull to sites and there is no logic to get position 0. This is what i experienced.

Yes - I think that has been my experience. If you are in position 4 or 5 and get the snippet, traffic goes up, but if you had position 1 and 0 and now you only have zero, you might see a drop. If you read down that thread some people are talking about that.
thanks for sharing mr @casinomark
Good thing we lost most of our good snippets long ago and Google replaced them with inferior and quite frankly ****** answers. :P
