Well the 19th March has come and gone, and another prediction for worldwide earthquakes, floods has passed. I think its about time these predictor people gave up....lol

They only do it to scare people.

It pissed down rain the whole weekend here.. And is still raining today. It never really rains in March. Stupid weather. I guess it's making up for the 10+ years of drought we have been in.

Well it seems to me that the 19th wasn't that far off from the earthquake in Japan....

Do I think they actually predicted the recent quake...nope, but in reality the date was pretty close.

I'll go out on a limb here and make my own prediction....

Somewhere on the planet there will be another rather large quake later this year....

We are having Earthquakes every day here ranging from 4.0 - 5.9 They claimed march 19 because of the moon. It was predicted New Zealand would suffer a much larger earthquake than our Christchurch one on March 19th and alot of people left the city because of these predictions...

Ken Ring ... aka the "moon man" ... is better known in this country for his long range weather forecasts based on moon cycles. When I say long range he produces calendars 2-3 years in advance.

Sceptical analysis of his predictions have shown that these are actually wrong around 65% of the time - yes you would be better off tossing a coin for the weather - but that hasn't stopped him making money selling them.


Following the first eathquake in Christchurch in Sepember 2010 - the moon man then predicted the devastating February 22nd quake in Christchurch. Well sort of.

He predicted 20 dates from 1st Jan to 31st March where the South Island of New Zealand would suffer major quakes. He got 1 right. He also got 19 wrong.

Guess which fact his self-promoting publicity highlighted.


The predictions for weather / quakes are based on the moon cycles and these so-called super moons (where the moon comes closest to the earth).

It's potentially beleiveable to the layman - but regular quake scientists thought of that 100 years ago and after trying to match quakes to moon cycles they had to drop the theory because the results simply did not match.

Mainstream science says that the moon and it's gravitational pull MAY be a contributing minor factor in earthquakes, along with plate techtonics, volcanic activity and a myriad of other things, but the moon is not a MAJOR cause, nor is there any correlation between the moons position and the location and time of quakes.

Of course - this fact is not reported by the media either - they'd rather run a headline screaming "BIG QUAKE PREDICTED" on the front page.

That Moon Man Ken Ring is currently being slammed on our news media. I think he needs to find a new job or activity....lol

So really, I could say the opposite of the Moon man, and I would be more credible then him.

I could say the exact opposite.. and get 65% accuracy.. 65% isn't so bad?

I don't totally believe on that, I will not blame the moon for what was happening all around the globe. Blame people for that, what we've done is taking its toll on our earth.
