    Default Software Conversion.

I was wondering what everyone thought was the reasons why some software converts well for some sites and not so well for others.

Does it solely come down to the software or is it a combination of what an affiliate site is saying about a property - maybe the positioning of banners, the sign up processes, bonuses offered, deposit process/options and the ease of use of the software...

or is it just some random pattern that seems to evolve over time...

Does anyone have any examples of why some properties convert and others do not?

    Roo,

This is an excellent thing to discuss. I think it goes deeper than that.

I think it does in fact have a lot to do with the way in which properties are presented, but even more than that is the visitor themselves.

How did they get to the Portal? Did they come from a search engine, a type-in, or did they follow a link from another portal, or an advert on a different site?

If they came from an engine, what keyword or key phrase was used to find the site?

What theme is the particular site under discussion or consideration.

So I think it involves most if not all the factors you mentioned, plus some or all of the ones I mentioned.

    Default Example

    Hi Roo,

I think it has to do a lot with Geo fitting, what I mean by that is the property has to fir the demographic crowd.

Taking the Scandinavian market, in which we have many running campaign. In this market the layout of the website / cashier + which info is presented is a major factor.

The most successful properties are usually very modest and conservative design. (As I'm living in Sweden now I can confirm that many business area / homes are designed as such)
Information on these sites is usually conveyed in a very straightforward manner.

Patriotism is a big factor around here, the people love to see the 4 flags (Sweden, Norway,Denmark and Finland) or at least the one we are targeting.
