Some of our affiliates work with 3rd parties and have numerous sub affiliates working for them.
This particular affiliate has assured me that his 3rd party contact has been ordered to stop sending mail on our behalf. He/she may use other 3rd party sub affiliates for the first time and they might also have unauthorised email addresses. It would be unfair to penalise the affiliate for a 3rd party spamming players especially if the affiliate was unaware of the unfair practice being committed.
Unfortunately there are affiliates out there who obtain databases containing addresses of players and they send mails to players without the players permission and we are only able to take action once we are notified about it.
I get about 15 – 20 unauthorised mails per day from casinos. There are lots of guys who make a living out of extracting email addresses from websites and who knows by what other means. This particular affiliate has been notified that His/her account will be locked if we receive any further spam complaints that can be traced back to the 3rd party in question.
