    Angry Spam from Dominique

I just want everyone to know, if you get spam from me advertising casinobestroyal.net and possibly other crap casinos - I am NOT sending these.

Someone is spoofing my email address to send these.

Not sure how to put a stop to it yet but I am looking into it.

    Thumbs up Dominique

Just a thought Dominique but I think the vulnerability could be on your end. It just could be like the Klez virus or has the properties. Simply stated your P.C gets infected and this worm grabs hold of your address book. In this case the vulnerability may be on your P.C or your host server.

I visited the url casinobestroyal.com I landed on a page called Mint Las Vegas. This site has been discussed thoroughly somewhere here at the GPWA, I forget where? I viewed the source and found the document location is vegasfunusa.com. There are no actual websites attached to any of these urlís. They are strictly used for mass email dumps.

Aff Tag btag=ZD_7098_1_2509_1334788 Domique remember "Mint Casino?" same person

Please donít take this as gospel because there are a gazillion other methods of achieving the same results. But I would first check for some sort of infection.

Thanks for letting us know in any case. I am confident you will have this sorted out quick.

It seems the mails are received mostly by seasoned players, checking with people in my address book only turned up a couple mails, and these are players. There is no way to distinguish players from other folk in my address book.

Someone is spoofing the address in some other way and using some casino player list to send the mails to.

I guess it's not that uncommon, a bunch of people have stepped forward and said the same has happened to them.

I had a few problems last year when the same thing happened to me. Someone was making it look lke I was sending out advertising emails but I knew nothing about it. They eventually disappeared.

A friend of mine also had the problem only much, much bigger. He has an email address with one of the UK's biggest companies and only his first name before the @ sign so I guess someone picked him at random.

God only know how many emails they were spoofing from his address but for about 3 months he was receiving 25000 bounced emails per day. After getting fed up and leaving them for a while, one day he spent 4 hours deleting emails. Poor guy!
