I grabbed this from the page Renee....

The redirect is set fairly low so I had to keep hitting the page until I was able to grab it....

    Code:
     url=/directdownload-en.asp?aff_id=2080_5397_7783_208_357_1_22:lm2-pss*noc_600x800_180610_Beta-en-multi*EN&siteCode=NOC
Headers for most spammers do not really do a lot since most larger spammers pay a mailhouse to send the spam....or it is sent on the many bot networks that exist and therefore tracking the mailer often leads to someone's computer sending the spam without their knowledge.....

You're right Rick, but I need to follow policy.

I could just grab anyone's link and post it saying they spammed me if I wanted to get them shut down.
I don't doubt that it is spam, but it's the proof that I need.

    Hi headers not needed.
Just click on link ( even with hidden aff link) using firefox, next right mouse click and choose "show website source"
Between all content you will find link :

there a lot of spammers.. i'm getting daily about 70-100 spam gambling emails..

the only thing what i can't understand how they are getting our email addresses..

1.) using a email address, which i only use it when i create gambling accounts... nowhere else...
2.) using a second email adress to create affiliate accounts... nowhere else...
3.) using a third email address to communicate with friends and family...
4.) using a fourth email address for subscribtions at forums, newsletters

gambling and affiliate emails are spammed..
HOW spammers got those email addresses?
are some AFFILIATE MANAGERS giving away or selling our email addresses to get more and more players?

meanwhile i stoped to add them into blacklist on server as it have no sense as they are always coming from new email addresses

I can see the link, but I need to see that you received an email. As I mentioned, I could just post a link of someone I want to get taken down. I don't doubt you are getting spammed, but I need to follow procedure, so I need the email as proof.

    Thanks.

FYI I have a personal email address that I have never put ANYWHERE. It is used only for my internet account. Noone has it. And it gets spammed with casino stuff as well as other stuff.. So you are not alone.

Renee, if the email you mentioned (being used for your internet account) if that means your ISP, then THEY are selling it......

All the major ISP's sell their databases....all of them......

If mail server software would have been written to ONLY ever forward a piece of mail that comes from a VALID sender that the domain matches the message id, then 60%-80% of spam would cease almost immediately.....

Most of the rest would stop shortly after everyone that recieved spam would start sending mail back to the original sender.....

Send out 2 million spams....get 1.75 million mails back....your ISP would dump you well BEFORE you got the million returns.....

I think Rick just proved my point.. You don't have to put your email address somewhere to start receiving spam..

Also, since this thread is getting a fair amount of views I will also mention a handful of email names never to use....

    webmaster
    hostmaster (to a lessor degree)
    sales
    info
    tech

The above are the most common (and most spammed) email accopunt names in existience...no need to be sneaky with those, just send spam to any of those at every domain on the planet....(and some spammers do)

No way Renee nobody will even touch this spammer same like thousand others, but source of my information will be well known from ... header.
But - this is not secret knowledge , that Rewards affiliates can see source of their sales and clicks without any headers , right?

I dont want to post more (to find spammer source we need google + 3 minutes of work , no headers) , its without any sense and youre are nice person which on 100% dont know about some practics. But of course you will always fight in the name of your brand.

Its not a problem for me , im here not to fight against spam , because its not possible. I just want to help others to see 2 faces of some casino brands.
My opinion is - if some people can send spam ... and others cant because its penalised - this is really not fair
Lets spam everybody , or nobody.

    mickey417,

I tend to agree with a portion of your statement that programs can figure out who is doing the spamming without the email headers, BUT....Renee stated that their company policy for following up spam complaints is that she needs the emails forwarded to her with the headers intact so they can investigate and follow up.

Now providing this information is used in the proper way and that they do not ignore the complaint due to the spam being sent through a bot network, a mailing house or hacked account (or any other means)....I say it is worth going the extra step once in a while to help show the spammers that their actions have consequences.

If a program uses the headers for nothing more than contacting the affiliate and asking them to remove a specific email address and does nothing to try and convince the affiliate to stop spamming, then this would soon enough be recognized over time....

I honestly think that the intent of Renee's request has merit and should not be discounted so quickly...

    Thanks Rick, you're spot on.

The reason we have this policy is for the exact reason I explained. If we do not receive a spam complaint then it is assumed that the affiliate or marketing company is sending to a list that has opted in to receiving the emails. Without spam complaints there is no way for me to know that something dodgy is going on.

Now since there have been instances in the past where affiliates have wanted to get rid of their competition and actually sent spam complaints when they actually did sign up for the emails, this is why I have to "assume" that this is the case every time, and I need to be able to see the email, headers and everything else that goes with it so at least if I get push back from the culprit, I have proof.

The worst thing for business is falsely accusing someone of doing something.

    Cheers

Please send them via EMAIL - I need the email exactly as you received it, intact with all the links and a PM will not allow that. Thanks.

I forwarded a spam email to casino rewards support email address over a week ago. But didn't get a response yet.
I will forward it to you too now, Renee. The messages are sent to me by a site named bonus-station (.com)
I never heard of them, and surely never registered or signed up for a newsletter.

I also get a lot of spam for club gold casino. I forwarded this to their support but no response either.

I have sent these messages from my old player email address. As I do with all spam I receive there.
All the other brands/casinos respond to it. So I'm not pleased at all with the ones that don't. If I don't get a response as a player others probably don't as well.
I can understand the reasoning as I thought of this myself, and explained this idea a while back on the casinomeister forum. But I get the feeling it's being used as an excuse not to follow up on the spam alerts, rather than to protect affiliates.

Unfortunately our support only has the ability to remove you from CR mailing lists. If the email is not coming from CR, they cannot do anything. That's when I can take care of it. So you can send anything that is spam over to me and I will take care of it.

Not sure why they didn't reply though. That's not cool. I suppose it's possible it went into the spam box which I doubt gets checked. In any case, send it to me and I'll take care of it.
