why not indexing my pages?

Hi
I had changed my entire structure of url's of my website because before i had all my documents in one folder. Now i had each document into his independent folder...for example articles on articles rules on rules and so on...i make also a xml sitemap for google and submited to google sitemaps. The problem is that on google webmaster tools appear crawl errors : Not found 4. But that url's doesn't exist anymore. On the sitemap details appear that only one page is indexed...when i search on google site:site-name.com appears the old structure of my links. Why?
I mention that i'm begginer on this side.

Be patient, reindexing can take time

You can also request Google to remove those old urls, there is a link in webmaster tools to remove url's, don't recall the exact location in the new version but I think it is with the sitemap info.

Also, if those old pages were indexed, and got traffic, you could do a redirect to the new page, this way a visitor is sent to the new page and not lost to a not found error. If you do that, do not request that Google removes the url as it will error in webmaster tools.

Eventually, the old urls will go away, takes time.

Forgot about redirects, do a 301 redirect to the new pages, it's probably the best solution.
