What is the average conversion for sportbooks? I used to have a great conversion with BetOnline but lately the % is very low for me. In this month I already have 41 registration with only 1 depositor and my other sportbooks are doing better. I want to know if there are other memebers that are experiencing this or is only me.

Hello Felku - I'm happy to share our numbers with you.

We get around 35%-50% at European partners and usually only 20-30% at US facing partners.
So our experience is that US facing sportsbooks seem to convert a little worse than European averages.

We don't manage as many registrations as your sites do at BetOnline - but still get a steady stream and I have noticed that BetOnline have been dropping conversion rates to below the bottom of that 20-30% US benchmark over recent months ...

Current month : 12 registrations - 2 depositors (16.6%)
April 2012 : 47 registrations - 10 depositors (21.2%)
Jan-Mar 2012 : 173 registrations - 32 depositors (18.4%)
All of 2011 : 564 registrations - 204 depositors (36.2%)

So we can see that the trend is downwards - as it seems to be harder and harder to get deposits through ...

A number like 1 in 41 is very low - but you really are only talking about 4 days worth of figures so deposits may be still coming from those signups. What are your normal monthly numbers like at BetOnline prior to this month?

You're right I maybe get more depositors. I started recently to get good numbers with the site that I'm promoting BetOnline but with a lot less traffic I was making an average of 3-4 depositors per month. Yesterday I had a few depositors with different US facing partners except Betonline. For me it was strange because Betonline was performing better than other sportbooks for me. Maybe I have to wait see if things change the definitely I'm seeing a very bad conversion rate. But thanks for sharing info

Well from those 41 registrations I got 5 depositors, I think is ok for only one week.

My experience with Bet Online was terrible.

First I was told I would receive 35% of losses per month with carryover. After I signed up and started bringing customers they told me that was a "mistake" and lowered my commissions to 25%.

Several of my good customers disappeared after several months and I was told they stopped depositing. BOL was not aware that several of these depositors were friends of mine and told me they had deposited every month. When I quizzed BOL I was given some off the wall BS answer that these players were from a previous account and transferred. I knew better as all of my customers were new to BOL.

Also, stay away from their PPH program. The WORST service I have ever experienced. I joined another PPH service and wow what a difference.

Interesting conversions here and a lot is down to the processing available at the time as well as sports events offered. The conversions mentioned are under what we would expect but a reflection of the changing times. 36.2% conversions are close to what I would expect as an average from signup to depositor (40% is an average based on all affiliate traffic).

We have a team here at BetOnline dedicated to increasing conversions across all marketing channels and they have just come into play. As a result I would expect to see a big up shift in conversions. However we are approaching June/Jule which in the sportsbook calendar are traditionally quieter months.

You mention players from underneath you 'disappearing'. This is not something I or anyone else on the affiliate team would knowingly do. As for the 35% commissions we offered a special promo of 35% commissions for 3 months, and you may of fallen into the bracket of the promotions commissions of 35% and once this was over it would of defaulted back to your original commission percentage.
