Squid Games

[Pokerface]

I must admit when I first heard of Squid Games I was not interested at all. Not my type of show.

Recently a friend was over and suggested we watch an episode .... sure, we can try one and if we don't like turn it off.

I was hooked! Amazing show ... so creative!

I am REALLY surprised that they think it can go for 2-3 series.

The first 8-9 episodes were good - exploring the setup and going through the games in the island.
The last episode was very average.

I haven't seen it yet, perhaps I will give it a try.

Alice in Borderland is even better.

Thanks for the tip for Alice in Borderland ... we just went into lockdown/curfew .... lots of time to watch shows. lol

I loved watching Squid Game. Will have to give Alice in Borderland a go too.

Alice in Borderland is even better.

Yep - A far better show with a similar idea.

I found Squid Game ok to be honest, it was watchable. I then watched Alice in Borderland which was better, another good one is 3%, we binge watched that over a few weeks.

Yeeeeah, this is how I felt too. It seemed like they tried to swing too hard into the anti-capitalism thing to the point of beating the audience over the head with it.

I did not like Squid Game at all. I watched 1.5 episodes and gave up. Not because the concept was bad, but the acting was so bad. I will give Alice in Borderland a shot though.

I've now watched S1 of 3% and most of Alice in Borderland S1, but have to admit I'm not impressed by either. The general idea is good, something that I normally enjoy, but I lost interest in both shows over time as they just don't keep you on your toes.

My impression is controversial. On the one hand, it is interesting to watch, the sixth episode is one of the most exciting and intense among all TV shows that have ever been. On the other hand, the ending is weak and the idea itself has been filmed many times, so it won't surprise you with its originality.

Same here... I didn't like the idea, and it wasn't interesting at first.

After I watched the first episode, I just got "hooked on it".

Waiting for Season 2.

never seen it... not sure its worth the time...

"Game of Thrones" is a show 100,000 times cooler! It's a show for fans of blood and various horrors of death... Easy money doesn't come easy...

[NASUGITUNE]

I saw it, but it wasn't as interesting as everyone was making noise.
