    Default SSL certificate

I know there is a few posts on this already and I have read them...............but I just want to get some feedback from people further down the line now they have had them for a while

How easy was it to apply a certificate?
Did you swap hosting for a better price or get a certificate separate from somewhere like - gogetssl.com
Did you go for a standard SSL or one with company name in it
Did you lose rankings then get them back?
Have you seen an increase in rankings since you had a certificate?

I'm not 100% sure how existing links work in swapping over.........

Sorry for all the questions, I am getting the impression it will be quite important going forward to have an SSL certificate?

    Thanks in advance

There are a number of options for SSL Certificates, and when you use certificates from Let'sEncrypt they are completely free, you just have to renew every 90 days.

On linux servers there are a number of options to script the renewals although I have not researched many of them, I would say looking at GitHub would most likely be a real good place to start or others may be able to recommend good solutions they have tested and are using on production servers.

I have done some research on how to handle it on Windows Servers, and the option that seems to be the most logical that I have found so far is to use certify.webprofusion
    https://certify.webprofusion.com/

It is a windows based program with a full GUI that allows complete setup and automatic renewal of your SSL Certs on Windows based servers and appears to be very stable.

The license options are not bad at all, only 49.99 for up to 3 servers and 349.99 for up to 100 servers which would be most appealing to mid size to larger web hosts or those utilizing a lot of web server nodes in a larger cloud based or load balanced environment.

I first installed an SSL Certificate on OCR last year. However, I experienced seo problems as a result. Hence I vlogged about it. You can see the videos here https://www.onlinecasinoreviewer.com...-google-serps/

Like Wonderpunter I also now use Cloudflare. This all said and done, it is quite straightforward to install the SSL certificate and if you use wordpress there are plugins available to make you change http --> https pretty straightforward and easy.
