Thumbs up Star Partner GPWA Sponsorship Resumed

I'm very pleased to announce today that Star Partner is once again listed as a GPWA sponsor program.

Last year there were issues raised regarding cross-marketing practices, and as a result of those and other questions at the time, a decision was made to suspend their sponsorship.

I view that Star Partner has clearly demonstrated through their actions that they genuinely care about their relationship with affiliates. Not only did they address the cross-marketing issues that were raised going forward, but they also went back and calculated and paid commissions that were due to affiliates based on their past practices. That level of responsiveness says a lot to me.

The decision to reinstate Star Partners as a GPWA sponsor was made through a poll of GPWA private members. As one private member said in response to the poll: "They have made mistakes, corrected them and I have been reimbursed."

Please join me in welcoming Star Partner back!

Big mistake IMO sorry for those who took part in the poll. Maybe some forgot their history. I know Star Unpartnered duked me and they know it.

    Unfortunate business as usual.

I don't think we will gather too much support against Star Unpartnered. If this bizz has taught me something history really does repeat itself.

Greek, if you can send me more information about the problem you had with Star Partner in the past, I'm happy to follow up with them about it. They've been very responsive in working with us to resolve member concerns.

I have now had an opportunity to get more information from Star Partner about the mailer and to confirm their tagging process.

In addition to the person that prepares a mailer, each email goes through a review by their internal quality assurance department. Checking to confirm that all links are tagged is a part of that quality assurance process. But in this case the review was either missed entirely or that piece of the review was missed.

There are two important backup procedures in place in order to correct and prevent this type of problem.

The first of the backup procedures is that Star Partner now runs regular tag reviews. During these reviews, they identify any possible untagged players and research the affiliate who referred the player. This means that players who sign up to one site through an untagged link but were referred by an affiliate previously will be correctly credited. They are running this review now based on the quality assurance error in the mailer, with this review being in addition to their regularly running it.

The second backup process is to identify the source of any errors. If during the routine tag reviews they find a signup that was not tagged to an affiliate but that had been referred by an affiliate previously, they follow up by identifying how the untagged signup occurred. Once identifying how the untagged signup occurred, they have the information needed to plug the hole, meaning when errors do happen they are short lived.

So, the short version of that is that there was an error in the mailer, but that they have sophisticated review systems in place so that the players are tagged to the affiliates despite the link problem and the oversight in the mailer will not result in actual tagging problems.

One word - "Paragraphs" .... that was tough reading.

Summary - typical program response; there was an error but we fixed it and everything is ok. They arent a new program - they know exactly what they are/were doing! Simple fact is, GPWA has once again protected their money flow instead of protecting affiliates!

I must not have highlight the point clearly enough if it came across as saying it is all good because a mistake was fixed. My message was meant to be about the systems in place.

Before members voted on resuming their sponsorship, one of the requirements we placed was that they have a system in place so that human errors never result in affiliates losing commission over tagging problems. This is a fail safe that goes above and beyond what others in the industry currently have. I hope more programs adopt it.

I'm sorry to say it but we won't promote this group, what I read about Starpartner at Casinomeister and various other forums including GPWA have spooked us.

    I wish them well.

Large affiliates can afford to promote them since they have a lot of clout.

Pertaining to Star Partner the following sites could be visited:

    xxx://gamblingaffiliatesunion.org/category/latest-gau-news
    xxx.casinomeister.com/forums/casino-spam-complaints/27205-star-partner-vegas-partner-lounge-affy-spam.html
    xxx.casinomeister.com/forums/casino-complaints-bonus-issues/43901-vegas-partner-lounge-not-honouring-bonus-invitation-within-specified-time-range.html

    Hope this helps.
