I got a new promotion send to my player test account and it is tagged with an unknown affiliated ID : w25869 which certainly is not mine and I NEVER played anywhere else at VPL casinos so the player promo mail should have been with my affiliate tag.........or have you created new accounts at Starpartner in order to tag these mails for your own benefit ?All group mails for loyalty; newsletters etc from now on will be tagged.
If a player downloads another casino from these mailers, the player will be mapped to the tag where the player last played at a Vegas Partner Lounge casino.
By doing this you can be certain that if a player came through an affiliate and ends up joining another brand through any of our loyalty/newsletter mailers, that original affiliate will be credited for that player in the new brand too.
At this moment you have been put to the test and failed (again).
I urge everybody to check their player emails !
I believe this is aligned with what Star Partner said would be the case. Mailer's were to be given a tag to indicate that they were promotional mailers. Then, when someone signs up under such a mailer, it is understood it is through such a mailer, and any new sign-up is known to be a promotional sign-up and assigned to the account associated with the most recently played account of the player. The sophistication to handle the tagging is, I believe, handed in the sign-up process from a mailer, not in the mailer process itself.
Since I do view this as quite a technically sophisticated processs, I think it would be good for someone from Star Partner to confirm what I believe I understand to be the case, and to explain in some additional detail how it works.

Hi All,
Michael is correct in the way he understands the process.
We have set a query within the database to run once a player registers an account to be mapped to the affiliate that referred the last played account of that player.
We urge you all to test this and to see for yourselves that it is indeed working as we have stated.
We will on request also provide information required, especially in the case of a player having more than one account, we will be able to show that he was indeed mapped to the last played account.
Please feel free to contact me should you have any queries.
Thanks
Regards,
Antoinette

I suppose the btag that showed up CAN NOT track players.
I strongly believe the Vegas Partner Lounge has been created to X promoting our players with no credit for the affiliate.
If you think I am wrong I want to see some proof
Your thoughts please.

Hey guys I have the same mail and the same tracking btag code... something is fishy here they are obviously going outside of affiliates and have a special code in there for company tracking!!
I have been thinking things are not right with this place for a long time now.
Hi Everyone,
As mentioned in my previous post we are using an internal tag to track all players that register an account from all our internal communication to players.
Once a player registers an account a query is run in our backend that maps the player to the affiliate that referred the last played account.
We are being straight up with all affiliates and have asked that you guys go and test us in this regard to make sure that this is what is being done. We will gladly provide any information regarding this.
@pgaming, it is against our privacy policy to post all your stats since 2005. Should you require this detail sent to you, please send an email to support and we will generate the information to you. Also, please note that this type of report will take a few days for us to generate as we have to request information from our development team who deal with these requests.
Thanks
Regards,
Antoinette
Hey Antoinette,
You were my very first affiliate manager. (10 years ago) I lost tons of players when you insisted on changing your stats. You have been around quite some time now. I recall you writing me from Vegas that you assured me everything was ok. It was not.
Since then you have changed your stats several times. Each time we lose players and you know that.
My entire site was dedicated to you at one time. I'm so disappointed.
I do not think you should be at gpwa. I am sorry for you but it is you're own fault.
Why in the world would you treat us this way? Please don't feed us some BS, just take your business elsewhere.
Thank you,

Paula, I can understand the way you are feeling and I have also dealt with Antoinette for the past 10 years and met her personally.
I don't disagree with you with regards to changing stats and losing players along the way, as this seems to be the norm with many microgaming programs but we cannot prove it unfortunately.
However, I have to give Antoinette her due, and that is that she is making an effort to resolve the issues and has invited us to test their tracking to prove what she is saying.
I think rather than telling her to "take her business elsewhere" - we should give her the benefit of the doubt and see how it pans out.

All of my players were gone. All of them. When I asked why I was told they all 'stopped playing'. I'm not the only one. That is proof IMO. I was new then and I worked very hard for those players. It still stings.
My benefit of the doubt is long gone. But yeah, sorry for being so abrupt, but I stand by my post. I feel we need to stand up for ourselves especially with the recent events. Star Partners suspension is the appropriate action. Especially when a program is caught red handed.

Would be nice to know if any affiliates here have seen any added players/revenue as a result of them going back and remapping players lost due to cross marketing. It was said it would all be cleared up by the end of the month. Any results yet?
Further to this we are going make right on any untagged players.
If a player was playing at a VPL casino, prior to the player joining a new VPL casino, this player will be allocated to the tag of the last casino played.
All historical earnings due to affiliates based on the outcome of this query will be settled at month end.

I posted this at AGD and will post here as well..
Today the peel ad has changed to a charity event, I used your site thecanadiangambler(nice site btw) to test this out again and followed all the way through the same steps and guess what the end result btag is?? btag=xxx.vegaspartnerlounge[dot]com/charity.asp'Star Partner Going Around Affiliates
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
So everyone knows times are tough and companies are doing some stupid things to save on cost but this to me is the most stupidest and dishonest thing to do!
I was reading the thread at GPWA Star Partner GPWA Sponsorship Suspension - Page 4 - Gambling Portal Webmasters Association and seen a few affiliates talking about a certain mailer that was sent out to players with an obvious embedded company tracking btag so I decided to check my own links and banners out with a fine tooth comb.
So this is what I found..
Player clicks on my banner and is directed to goldenrivieracasino(DOT)com/index.asp( viewed source code and found my btag is in order), then I seen the handy peel add in the right corner and clicked that vegaspartnerlounge(DOT)com/halloween_games_10.asp view source code and still my tag is in order to this point BUT now I click on that handy download link in the center of the page which brings me to the vegas partner home page of ..vegaspartnerlounge(DOT)com/index.asp thinking right this is great players can choose any casino from here and I will have them tagged to me playing at other VP brands, so I clicked Crazy Vegas from there to play as a player. I should not have been shocked to see this as the btag code when I viewed the source code...
ar url = 'http://www.vegaspartnerlounge9[dot]com/exit-popups/single_popup/grc.asp?btag=http://www.vegaspartnerlounge[dot]com/index.asp';
This company has high rollers and whales falling into that great blue abyss more then any other out there! They forget to renew domains all the time, they have changed affiliate sites and urls more then any other program out there ! When a company is constantly changing aff programs and making affiliates change the links they have on all sites it tells me they are cleaning house washing out the non active affiliates! Please look at the history here folks this company is smelling of trouble!!
I am confused if your using the same exact tracking code in all the mails sent how is it you can determine what affiliate sent you the original player?Once a player registers an account a query is run in our backend that maps the player to the affiliate that referred the last played account.

Sure more players lost .........Would be nice to know if any affiliates here have seen any added players/revenue as a result of them going back and remapping players lost due to cross marketing. It was said it would all be cleared up by the end of the month. Any results
I can confirm that happened to me too.Hey Antoinette,

My experience :
1. you get lip service.
2. they x market since quite some time
3. tracking in the beginning was very poor, they admitted to tag and untag players because of mistakes in the database application.
4. stats display players from 2007 BUT these are just low budget players, never found a good player that lasted more than a month or 2.
That is correct WE always have to prove they are fair or not - THEY use lip service and general comments. An honest program just handles these things quite differently if you know what I mean.I here yah Topboss wait until my stats are posted. Proof is a two way street and this program cannot prove they are being fair with us either.

@Topboss
To me the numbers you posted earlier tell me a different story unless you are cool with that.
I have been working with Star Partner for years and must say that I have always received my commissions on time in the past but I have not been able to make anything there during the past 6 months despite sending literally thousands of hits. I keep a spreadsheet each month, so have these figures and thought I would share them with you guys as it has now got me thinking of all the traffic I am wasting:
April 2010 - 1246 hits, 10 downloads, 2 signups, 1 depositor, earnings $ 13.18
May 2010 - 1730 hits, 9 downloads, 2 signups, 0 depositor, earnings $0.00
June 2010 - 1350 hits, 8 downloads, 1 signup, 0 depositor, earnings $0.00
July 2010 - 1600 hits, 5 downloads, 2 signups, 0 depositor, earnings $0.00
August 2010 - 1246 hits, 1 download, 2 signups, 0 depositor, earnings $0.00
September to date - 253 hits, 4 downloads, 2 signups, 0 depositor, earnings $0.00
So out of a total of 7425 hits, I have had 1 depositor and made $13.18
Please also bear in mind that ALL of my traffic is search engine traffic which leads to my gambling websites, so its not as though I have added them on a free click program or something.
If it was Rewards of CWC/Aff Edge they were all over this - not just a post hey guys Starpartner here : just prove us doing things wrong - I can guarantee you that!!.
bonustreak (1 November 2010), pgaming (2 November 2010)
No, I am not cool with those figures at all and this is one of the reasons why I agree with the majority of the comments on the board and do want to get to the bottom of it too.To me the numbers you posted earlier tell me a different story unless you are cool with that.
I simply feel that we should at least give Antoinette the benefit of the doubt to prove what she says about the tracking, and if she can't then I can assure you I will be the first to jump on her head about it.![]()
