    Default Starpartner issues

After Martin S. has left ( good man!), now Conrad has left and probably Antoinette. There's no one there...no one is answering my mails or chats.

My commissions were cut in half and I wasnt paid fully last month.

They refuse to send me previous history data of my earnings, even though it is a perfectly common thing to do. What are they hiding?

Any one know what is happening down there?

AmI the only one that they still owe commissions to ?

    Fell free to PM mee

In my humble opinion Star Partner has been ripping off affiliates for a long time already. I would compare them equally with Grand Prive ripoff. I know this certainly may not help the cause but in the end you get back what you decide to promote.

I promoted them 3 years ago and quickly realized they were ripping me of in all directions. I would have been better off charging them PPC.

    Sorry...

Opinions are one thing, but the title on this is grossly misleading.

Sheriff--can you please change the title on this one?

    One more thing...

I'm in contact with Antoinette on a frequent basis. I'll make it a point to alert her to this thread, first thing in the morning (South African time).

I had no idea she was still with the program. Nothing more to say save myself from getting too angry.

I already contacted Star Partner. I am sure they will be posting shortly.

I will amend the title since they are not going out of business.

    Hi Everyone,

In response to the above thread and all other threads started by yuvalh I would like to make a few things very clear.

    1. Star Partner is not going out of business and we are certainly not short of money.

    2. Two months ago Martin decided to leave our employment to pursue his own ventures and recently Conrad resigned which explains why he did not respond. Conrad was actually on leave shortly before he resigned which is why his mail was not being forwarded to one of the other 16 StarPartner affiliate managers.

    3. All Conrad’s mails are now being forwarded to Melanie Attwell so you can expect a prompt and efficient response.

    4. I was off sick the entire week as the flu hit our open plan offices hence the no response but I have put systems in place to ensure that a series of mishaps will not happen again as these were extreme.

    5. Yuvalh is requesting information that was provided to him on 2 Jun 2010 up to and including May 2010. Star Partner holds stats for the last 4 months so he will easily be able to view stats from June to August 2010 in the backend.

    6. With regards to commission owing, we have paid yuvalh all funds due to him.
He has over the years only referred one purchasing player that he is currently earning commission off. In July 2010 we reduced his commission to 20% as he has not sent us one player depositing more than a $100 since 2003. We have counseled him and tried to get him to refer more traffic and be a true partner but have received no value as of yet.
The action we took is in line with a few major operators as quoted below and we are still paying 20% lifetime commission regardless even though we have major expenses to continue maintaining players.

If in a calendar month the number of new? Casino Customers referred by the Affiliate is equal to 0 (zero) such Affiliate will earn 20% Commission of the Casino Affiliate Net Win generated by such Affiliate?s existing Casino Accounts; OR

StarPartner’s integrity, business practice and financials are very much intact and I am open for discussion on any of the above.

    Regards,

    Antoinette Pillay
    Head of Acquisition

    Default May I respond??

Antoinette, I kindly ask permission to respond.

Unfortunatly for me, I received a telephone call from Starpartner at my home yesterday and the message was very clear :

" If you post one more word against Starpartner on the forums - I will terminate your account for life "

So, please go and get that green light from your boss and I will gladly explain the matter to the dearest affiliates. They should know exactly what happend and this forum is a great place to start with. I am sure they are very interested.

I come in good faith and wish for this saga to be behind us all for the sake of our industry that we all benefit from

    ta ta,

    Yuval

This is EXACTLY the problem. The agreement in 2003 said you would pay X percent for the lifetime of the player - no other catches. Then you changed the game under a clause not included in the terms agreed to.

And yes, you always have a clause to change the T&C but that is a very bachanded move.

You have what is coming to you... And I certainly hope no one on your team was trying to blackmail yuvalh for silence...

Casino Customers referred by the Affiliate is equal to 0 (zero) such Affiliate will earn 20% Commission of the Casino Affiliate Net Win generated by such Affiliate?s existing Casino Accounts; OR
    Antoinette ~

Please let me know where, in the affiliate contract, you show that you can reduce an affiliate's commissions? Currently you are breaching your own contract as far as I can tell from the details quoted above.

    Thank you.

Starpartner is the only program that consistanly gets 100 plus hits a month yet NEVER any sign up's. I thought it strange so I had a few friends register off my links and funniest thing...no registrations. When I questioned this they suddenly appeared, was told it was a glitch on there end...funny how that happens.

This has been like it for a year and they will be off my sites permantly in the next week as I no longer feel they are trustable IMO. I have yet to get an acceptable explaination from anyone atS tarPartner nor do I expect one.

I knew this was going to happen. A little homework never hurts lol. The program is designed to have affiliates fail.

    I'll be back....

We have spoken with our German contact at Starpartner today and they have assured that they will take care of all unsolved issues asap. One of their key staff members has unexpectedly left the company and therefore they need to work extra shifts to make up for it. I wouldn't panic just yet, I believe they will pay everyone.

If anybody needs contact details, feel free to send us a PM here and we will gladly pass them on.

Sorry don't mean to make lite of the situation but I have seen this before. My experience with Star Partner was a nightmare. The clicks and downloads were through the roof, my twenty dollar earnings over 4 years paid for the office lunch lol.

    Default Issue resolved

With mixed feelings, I wish to say to all affiliates, especialy those reading this thread, that I have resolved my commission isuue with Starpartner.

They have contacted me,apologized and will pay me the remaining commission from the month of July.

We have yet to see how to proceed with regards to future commissions, but as for now this case is behind me and Starpartner.

Either way you look at it, affiliates need good strong honest brands to promote in order to succeed and like wise operators need good strong affilaites to succeed. One will not last long if he doesnt thing stratigicaly to the future and respects contracts and agreements.

This Industry is yet to be matured, but as we move forward from one incident to another, I hope we all realize that we can and should work together.

Let us speak again with better news

Did StarPartner write that retraction for you and require you to post it to get your settlement? No offense, but that just sounds like ad copy to me.

I would still like to know... for AffiliateGuardDog.com ... if Star Partner can validate why they were reducing commissions even though their contract does not state their ability to reduce commissions.

Can someone from SP answer that question?
