Has anyone made any money from this affiliate program? Seems all talk to us, and not a lot of action. Last we spoke to them they expected UK affiliates to pay VAT inclusive of their earnings too (i.e. you pay up the 20% out of your rev share), which was a complete non-starter for us.

Hi webanalysissolutions, not too sure who told you that information but I can confirm that there is no expectation for affiliates to pay VAT inclusive of their earnings!

In simple terms:
If an affiliate invoices us for £100 without VAT then we will pay £100.
If an affiliate invoices us for £120 with VAT then we will pay £120.

We certainly do not expect our affiliates to swallow the VAT cost!

Hi Jack, thanks for the info, we certainly have been told this when you first launched. I'll dig out the emails if you like as I save them all, as someone is probably doing your company a bit of an injustice by putting out incorrect information.

You certainly might want to change Clause 4.3 of your T&Cs as this seems to state the opposite of what you have said above:

"4.3 All payments made to you by CB under this Agreement are (unless otherwise agreed between the parties) deemed inclusive of any VAT or other taxes payable and will be paid in pounds sterling."

Apologies for the misunderstanding and if clause 4.3 was misleading - we will be amending the clause asap to be clearer.
