Hi everyone. I have been dealing with the mathematics of gambling since 2003 and I am also a problem-gambling researcher. During my near 20 years of experience in this field I have established several connections between the academic realm and the gambling industry, including gambling websites. I manage a website dedicated to gambling mathematics (http://probability.infarom.ro). In all these years I have observed the content of thousands of gambling websites pretending they provide gambling information and noticed that the mathematical aspects of the games are either lacking or inadequately presented. Among those showing such information (as related to strategy), the wide majority copies it from each other and don’t have expert editors to check it and present it in the adequate form and language. This of course fuels the classical misconceptions and irrational beliefs of the gamblers in regard to this phenomenon. This issue will be the object of a scientific study that we shall conduct over the next months and I want collect some opinions on this matter from the webmasters. Any reply would be appreciated.
