Thank you, I also used Reddit to promote my websites and it helped to promote it and increased DR.

I use reddit to market. I don't get a lot of traffic from it, but everything helps.

It isn't super useful from a marketing perspective to be honest, but we have one: https://www.reddit.com/r/onlinepoker
If any poker affiliates read this and want to post there, hit me up, and I'll let you know what we will and will not allow post wise![]()
One of the website I managed was lucky enough to get a link on r/soccerbetting - this did drive alot of traffic and sign ups.

It's possible to make a successful marketing on Reddit only in sufficient sub.
Reditters on the whole don't really like any kind of promotions there, but sometimes I've made really successful ones.
So you have to try!
First of all, you should analyze subreddits that related with activity you would like to promote. This is the best tip. Reddit users don’t like intrusive adds. So offer really useful product / service. In another case - no need better.
Depends on what does reddit marketing mean. If it's out of the place cringe worthy link placement, then it's a bad idea. If you're linking to a relevant page that helps out the discussion, it's going to get decent traffic. So yeah, it takes a lot of searching the right threads and answering on them for average results.
So you are just talking about posting your link in relevant posts in reddit?
Same here I want to know how to work around reddit putting links and not looking so much as a bland promotion
Making a good article relevant to reddit subs certainly makes sense.
I would not call it reddit marketing but reddit spam. Yes, I used to have success with it.
The point is to stay on topic, if possible to build at least some reputation (it is very costly in terms of time) and evaluate the people you are writing to. They do not like ads, but that just mean they are very open to "advices and opinions" when things are either well argumented or funny.
Another spam technique is to do the classic Q&A from more accounts, but again, it must stay on topic of the sub.
I do not know how much useful this is for linkjuice, but really a lot of people can come to the site and it is I believe a valid social signal.

We are all bloodsucking ticks, hungry, devious
each one latched on to the ass of the previous

IMO the best way to market on Reddit is to not try - really strong content that gets reposted there (or even better, I know of a couple affiliates who got linked to the sidebar as a permanent resource in a popular gambling related subreddit) can do really well - I've seen it happen. Build trust and good things happen.
i see a few affiliates have built some fake 'official <insert brandname> subreddits' (s) and are getting away with it .. gaming reddit for fun and profit.

gain karma before posting and be very careful!
Promotion should go hand-in-hand with some useful (interesting) content. Redditors are a tough lot when it comes to promo spam so I'd be careful.
I work with reddit a lot and I can honestly say it has many advantages. But you need to do a bit of research and learn how to use it correctly. But I need to mention that I didn't use it for gambling-related activities.
reddit a good community, I use reddit for more traffic on my site.
