Tapatalk Upgrade

Folks that access the GPWA forums using their phone frequently use the Tapatalk application for that purpose. We have the Tapatalk plugin installed on the forum server for that purpose. Currently we are using a rather old version of the plugin (version 5.6.1).

Right now we are working on upgrading to the plugin to the newest stable version supporting the forum, which is vBulletin plugin version 5.7.4. Rick currently plans to work on the plugin upgrade tonight, and will post in this thread once the plugin update is complete.

There have been new versions of the Tapatalk app on the user side that are supported on the server side through the updated vBulletin plugin. We hope that with the new server side plugin upgrade, the Tapatalk app will operate better. If anyone has any issues with the app, please let us know (posting in this forum thread is probably easiest), and Rick will investigate and follow up.

• Removing some unliked features (such as gold point usage for attachment download among others)

• New GIF Emoticons

The Tapatalk upgrade has been completed.

I did not see much in the way of changes in the interface, although those who use it regularly might see some.

If anyone has issues please let us know.

Isn't this plugin update just a bit like sticking a glucose drip into an old ass (donkey). Time to upgrade to a new forum pony.

i hated taptalk.. uninstalled it years ago,.. why not spend some money and bring gpwa into 2020?

Hard to find a good reactive theme for vb4.. trust me. And upgrading to VB5 breaks a lot of things. If you want any of my finding let me know.

I have used TapTalk before, and now I have tried to use this forum through it, but as if the topics and posts are not updated, I don't know if other users have a similar problem?

I checked just now and I do see current posts. We did upgrade the tapatalk support software in our forum to the most recent version in October so we are current on that front. There are times in the past when we have been behind on tapatalk upgrades, so it is possible that there could have been issues at some times in the past.
