Hi all please can you check out my new website www.thebettingsquad.com

The site is now live after months of research. In the process I have tried to build up a bit of a social media following, currently 1.2k on Twitter but only 100 on Facebook (any useful tips here would be appreciated)

The main feature of the website which is a database is yet to be complete, so I have decided to release the website and try and build up some consistent traffic ready for its release.

The site itself is run by myself and one other person, we have a number of people lined up who want to write for us, so over the next few months we should be in a position to role out regular content each week.

Any thoughts or advice would be appreciated

I think the site looks great. Clean, professional, nicely laid out, and the content is good too. Interesting that you haven't used up much space for banners and affiliate links. I'm a fan of less is more myself, but not sure you're giving the site and individual pages the best chance to convert. For example the ManU V Everton preview doesn't seem to have any outgoing links whatsoever, not even in the text of your bet tip.

Other than that well done on the site, I will be sure to keep an eye on it, and let us know when the database element is ready to go.

Thank you for taking the time to review the site, I agree 100% with what you are saying, we are still in the process of sorting out all of the affiliate links etc. We wanted to get some content on the page to show people what we was all about. Over the next few weeks we will try and utilise the site and individual pages but appreciate the advice

Thanks for viewing the site! That is something that I had never even considered, when you say penalized I am guessing you mean with the google ranking etc. Do you happen to know what the minimum requirement is? Any other advice is welcome.

Well it's all hear say, but i have seen sites hit with a thin content penalty creating thousands of posts and pages with a few lines of text, it would be good to clear this up now before you are stuck with a bigger problem later, just make sure your pages have more text.. i always stick with a minimum of 300 words

You are right, better to deal with it now than having to deal with it later down the line!

At the moment the newest post is from Barcelona - Atletico it looks like. And there are some great games coming up this weekend.

To get succes with these kind of strategies you have to be on top of good content.

Thank you for the positive feedback! You are right that the site needs new content every couple of days, at the moment I have a number of people interested in writing for me, so just organizing who is doing what, and how often. Then hopefully we can get into a bit of a routine ��

Looks good keep it up maybe fix the link issues and keep the content fresh did i miss something as the site it seems doesn't push you to any Bookmaklers or did i miss that .. i would still add a top 3 list somewhere on the homepage to drive your visitors to your best picks on bookakers and maybe even tie in the blurbs you have on hompage to your best offers at each on the day
