    Default Tinder marketing

    Hi,

Is there anyone of you that tried on tinder marketing. Like fake profiling as a hot girl and get dudes to watch your site?

or any other tinder techniques or software like bots?

    Thanks,

I see that happen on twitter a lot. Fake girl profile scanning for key words in tweets and then trying to get a follow.

As we tweet a lot of games we got a spate of these from "hot girls" supposedly interested in football teams - all very pretty - all with anglo sounding first names, middle initial, surname. Pretty pathetic really.

But I bet it worked in getting teenage / tweenage boys to follow ... if that's your market ?

Every guy I know who uses Tinder gets so angry about those fake profiles.

I use tinder and I get guys always telling me that I'm probably a fake profile. It's annoying actually. I'm pretty sure most people are on there to date, not to follow gambling sites or webcam sites. If they wanted that, they'd just google, right?

Anyone posting a link gets ignored, blocked and reported for spam.

It won't work in my opinion.

It seems a bit creepy and desperate to use Tinder to market gambling, but I guess spammers will always be spammers.

Using Tinder as marketing or is the term called "tinder marketing"?

I'm pretty sure that this is just pretty much "Tinder spam" instead of "Tinder marketing."

Unless you're promoting dating CPA's i highly doubt that it would convert all to well. While porn and gambling go together like bread and butter i dont think you can say the same for internet dating and gambling.

I don't think that's particularly true. I doubt a guy looking for a bit of relief will be looking at some hardcore smut and decide to take you up on an offer of 10 free spins on gonzos quest instead!

Having worked in affiliate management i've seen that gambling campaigns on porn sites are one of the most profitable media buys going, why do you think the majority of big porn sites all have gambling pop unders.

Porn sites have many visitors..if interested only a few visitors for gambling you, can earn money.

tinder is not the right place for gambling ,but you can try and earn experience!!

In my 11 years I've never seen any porn site profit from gambling ads.

Which company did you work for?

While your brands may not convert the big bookmakers/casinos in the industry do. The likes of bet365, betfred etc. I couldn't imagine sites like high noon casino having the same pull factor as one of the industry leaders sheerly down to the fact it's not a particularly well known brand.

We target completely different geographical areas, in the US (where we would run these campaigns) I'd say we were pretty well recognised.

Furthermore, we have run enough campaigns, porn and non porn to distinguish between the two. While I appreciate it may work for others, we can still see what is profitable and non profitable for us.

I can only comment from my experience.

From a single guy who likes to gamble, lets just say the two do not go hand in hand if you know what I mean :P

I'd say that those brands being on the streets and on tv would have a huge impact on recognition. That's probably why.
Until a year ago noone in Australia knew who bet365 were, so I doubt that would have been the case here for example.

As Stephen said, the different target markets would hugely affect the results.
Still interesting to know though. You're the first person I've ever heard say it's successful.

On the subject of porn advertising - yes it can work, so long as you profile. And yes, I'm talking about which category of porn a user is watching. From my experience, it is the more alternative categories that yield a better return. Also of note, women are 4x more likely to convert from a porn ad than men from the figures I have. I have come to the conclusion that is because the last thing a guy fancies doing is spunk his money playing casino after, well, you know... - whilst women tend to have more of a buzz post porn experience. Simple science.

Totally agree, I do not know whether you can get a positive result from this.
