Tips for new affiliates

Yes, I recently posted about browsershots when I had an issue rendering a page in Safari on the Mac....

When I use it, I usually only choose a handful of browsers on a few operating systems, otherwise it just takes too long to get many of them....

Renee, I wouldn't really recommend most new webmasters use classic asp, they should likely just jump right to .net.

Dreamweaver, Front Page and Expression Web support asp rather well....

Do we have any .net coders in the house? My latest software application is written in .net (changed from VB) and I'm thinking about learning that language, but not right away.

Also, .net, I refuse to adavnce, I am focusing on a\other areas and another language does not appeal to me...But silverlight...hmmm..so many ideas !!!

I think silverlight shows great promise also....too damn many choices huh....lol

And Microsoft will sell you tools for every one of em....LOL

i already have a prediticive dialer upgraded to it, is a silly use for it I know, but the DB calls are great....Will be nice...I also like the stylesheets, is great.....wait till video, will be sick

You can see the selected rectangles, the second one is 2 cols and a couple of lines. I have used this feature many times when I had to remove unnecessary stuff from the beginning of lines in text. It only works in simple text mode, by holding the alt key and selecting with your mouse.

I had no idea that was possible but that will make my life SO much easier!

Can you use this tool to add spaces rather than deleting code too?

I know, I was asking for myself :P

I code in classic ASP right now (not my choice BTW, I had to learn it for the aff site), don't know ASP.NET and don't have time to learn it (since from my understanding it's pretty different to classic asp), plus I probably wont use it as much, and I'm currently trying to convert one of my own sites from html into ASP and since I've never actually started a site from scratch in Classic ASP, I don't even know where to start. I've only ever edited other people's code or made single pages from scratch.. all the framework has always been there for me.

Dreamweaver doesn't tell you what needs to be on the global.asa pages to start off with (from memory, i havent looked at it for awhile), but i may check out Expression Web. I wouldn't touch Front page with a 20 foot pole.
