I remember I did something very similar when at Uni (minus Bob the Builder and more a combination of severe writers block and a pair of headphones that were more aerodynamic than I expected).

It cost a fortune to get fixed! Had I been able to see YouTube through the smashed screen, I would have given it a go too!

I too have done something similar, involving a glass of wine and a keyboard :S Bob the Building has nothing on a full glass of wine in terms of destruction! LOL

I once tried to squeeze my Dell laptop into a luggage bag, which was already excessively overpacked. When I pulled it out at the other end and turned it on the screen looked like a psychedelic pattern (see image for example).

Anyway, after several attempts to try and access everything via a small section of undamaged screen I realised it was a write off. Fortunately eBay had a replacement screen for £20 .

I just wanted to tell that story so I could put the trippy pic up
