Maybe if you stated those options (requirements) in your original POST, then people wouldn't waste their time posting about a tool you don't want!

Search for something in ASP or ASPX (.NET)

If you any kind of coder you might find something you could edit or manipulate to do the trick.

Many years ago I had fund a few scraper scripts and had written a portion of a script I could manually run to check a specific page, looking for a specific url, but never wrote the rest of it that would parse a database or csv file that would check a list of urls for a set of url's.

I would think having something written that would do that would not be a huge project, which you could then fire off and run as a windows task.

I would think aspx utilizing c#, the mvc framework or even razor would be the way to go. There are a ton of tutorials or boot camps that might help you conquer it.

You really just need something that can scrape a page, and then look for a string value (your url) to make sure it exists.

You could take a look at
    https://sourceforge.net/
    https://www.hotscripts.com
to see if they have anything to help get you started, or you could try and find a coder to rite something.

If you also run linux servers at the same host or others, whether it is simpler t find someone to help put something together elsewhere, you will have to determine, as it is an option.

side note: Any time I would ever consider hiring someone to write something, I would want to see a somewhat working version of what they were putting together on THEIR server before giving anyone access to one of my production servers, unless it is someone you have previously hired and you trust their work, or they come with a strong recommendation from someone who's word you trust.

Not everyone who thinks they are a good coder can write Windows server applications or even an Isapi filter that doesn't risk taking down the server until perfected or debugged.

After re-reading the above, I am now not sure if you are looking for a server side application to run on a windows server or linux as it is not defined.

Looking at the inspyder that someone suggested above looks likes an inexpensive choice, in fact I may take the time to check with them to see if it runs on windows servers, and can run as a service easily, or command line (since that could be set up to run as a task or service).

It says it could be configured to run on a schedule, so running it on a schedule a certain time each week or month looks to be an inexpensive option without additional coding needed. Just leave the computer turn on those days, LOL

You can also try using the Screaming Frog SEO Spider Tool.

These days I'm not comfortable running any kind of crawling script from my server. Pretty much anything that's not a bona fide visitor using an ISP (aside from Google etc., etc.) gets blocked. With all the cr#p these days it's a smart move. Hence, I reckon your better using Win/Mac based application. Unless your using a Unix flavour, but I'm sure there's plenty of programs for that too.

Well writing a script to scrape an entire website or writing a script to check ONE page for a specific url are completely different kind of scripts and what they do.

Using screaming frog, ahref's, majestic or most other scraper and link bots, as well as over 90% of most seo tools usually scrape most if not all of a website, using a lot of bandwith and they will get blocked often, so running those from your web server can end up getting blocked from other web servers.

If the kind of script or scrape you would do from your webserver, would risk getting the webserver ip blocked, the very same thing could happen to your home IP since you are wanting the exact same function from home as your sever.

For what it is worth, none of the download trial buttons seem to work on this site, and thus, I can not test it. It looks cool though and reasonably priced...
Anyone else have this issue of not being able to download the trial?
