Default Top Tips for Betting and Gaming Advertisers

This relates to the UK gambling market specifically but I'd suggest it's a good article for any country you're marketing to. It's some top tips for betting and gaming advertisers, released by the Committee of Advertising Practice in the UK who are responsible for ensuring that the UK advertising codes are adhered to.

Some of the links in the article are interesting and show where others have been tripped up.

It's kind of a blah article since they do not go into very much detail about anything.

It's a given that one should consider the use of misleading advertising, but then they do NOT go into any detail about that, like "don't use incorrect math" or "don't offer players a bonus percentage that they do not actually get" "don't claim to accept players from all countires but exclude some and not provide a list of excluded countries"

You get more detail if you follow the links to the articles. They explain what ads the operators were running, why they were reported and the outcome. I actually think the real-world examples are quite good although I admit, the cover story is useless without following and reading the linked to pages.

All of the points are pretty much ethical things that everyone should know from common sense. Be fair and informative to the readers, and they'll appreciate that.
