Can someone read cookies?

I need to know if a specific affiliate program counts latest referer or first referer for comissions.

Latest referrer receives credit or first referrer receives credit.

If they are sponsors here, check the welcome thread for the program as that has been covered in the announcements threads for a long time.

Many of us prefer the cookies to be overwritten since that gives credit to the affiliate that "makes the sale".

There are a number of ways to double check if cookies are overwritten depending on the browser you use.

What program are you asking about specifically?

Got to say I can’t name any programs that use first cookie any more. Maybe some out there but as Rick said the move has tended to be towards the affiliate that converted the sale.

As far as I know, the commission goes to the affiliate who made the conversion.

The person may have been interested in a game thanks to you, learned all the relevant information on your website, and clicked on your links hundreds of times. However, if the purchase is made through another link, it is usually that affiliate who gets all the credit.
