ts and cs compliance

Hi -

What is the general consensus on display of ts and cs. Does anyone have an opinion on whether a rollover that pops up a little box with full ts and cs in is compliant? Technically it's not showing them next to the offer - the user must trigger the display. But I've seen some big sites doing this.

Looking around I still see many sites that don't look compliant in this area btw. Thin ice?

The Terms and Conditions are extremely important and should be showing for everyone to see. If you don’t see them, then all that means is that the rules and regulations to abide by are not clear. Meaning that anything could be possible like you have to meet a certain criteria in order to have your commission increased. That’s why you need to know what you’re in for in the long run.

Common sense would be as long as they are obvious and accessible there shouldn't be any issues, whether that's a click here for offer T&C's link/pop up box or having them just below the offer etc. However, common sense and gambling laws in general don't always seem to get along.

According to the UKGC, what you describe is not compliant. We had to change our sites from this to what they currently show now.

Interestingly enough yesterday I recorded a Skype chat with Simmo! who owns and runs Rightlander.com. We covered quite a bit concerning UKGC regulation and compliance.
