    Default Turkish market

I work as an affiliate manager for an online poker, casino and bingo operator. So now we were thinking about targeting the turkish market, therefore I needed some advise about how to target this market that seems to be closed to online gaming partnerships.

    Best Regards

Did you translate your site in turkish? I advice you to hire a turkish webmaster who can help you to find correspond keywords for turkish online gambling, because for example, for russians there are another keywords in online gambling then for english online gambling. And this person may give you known search engines in Turkey where you may submit your site.

Is gambling legal in Turkey? I thought it wasn't but maybe wrong.

The best way to get in on the market and capitalize is to offer us portal owners a good rate of commission, great affiliate support and maybe a gift next Christmas!!

You'll be there in no time!

The only thing I've read is that BACKGAMMON is HUGE in Turkey. Backgammon is not considered gambling (even for money). Go figure.

    Hi.

I am a Turkish gambling webmaster. My top Turkish site was on #1 on turkish google for most of the biggest terms included casino, etc.

But after the gambling ban in Turkey, about 7-8 months ago, I changed my sites to English language.

I am good at writing content (I love writing) and I know what Turkish players want.

In Turkey all types of gambling is forbidden, and may be on the near future internet will be totally forbidden : )

    You can pm me.

    ( Also I have some top domains like sanalpoker.com (in English onlinepoker.com), sanalbingo.com, sanalslots.com, sanalblackjack.com, sanalkumar.com (in English onlinegambling.com ), etc.

Edit: backgammon is forbidden, too. But it is not that much huge. Because most of them are free money player. From most popular to less popular in Turkey: sportsbetting, poker, okey (a Turkish game), casino, backgammon, chess, bingo.

I found this article today regarding the Turkish market:

    http://www.zone-h.org/content/view/14482/30/

"A bill has been recently approved in Turkey as a countermeasure against indecent broadcasting and online gambling. This measure will give the national Information technology Security Agency the authority to block any broadcast that is believed to threaten state security, as stated in Article 301 of the Turkish Penal Code...."

    Default turkish market

I believe that turkish people still can gamble online eventhough there is a new law against online gambling. I have seen that many poker and casino sites now are offering games in turkish, there should be a concrete reason why they are doing this. Am I right?

Here is a very popular old joke in Turkey.

    ............

A big ship, which contains people from different countries, was going to folding to the sea.

The captain tried to cajole them to jump from the ship. But he wasn't able to do it.

Then he called his helper. He went to speak with passengers. Ten minutes later he turned back and said to captain that all passengers leaved from the ship.

Captain asked him: How did you able to do it?

Helper said : Well, first I spoke with Britians and said them ''you are very kind people, and now I request you to jump to the sea, please'' and they jumped.

I spoke to Americans and said them '' if you jump to the this sea, you will loss more wight'' and they jumped.

I spoke to Germans and said them '' jump to the sea, now'' and they jumped.

Then I spoke to Turkish and said them '' jumping to the sea is forbidden'' and they jumped.

    ...............

Yes, gambling became illegal in Turkey. But it just helping to increase online gambling.

    Hello,

I have several web sites with gaming content in Turkish. Which online casinos and poker rooms still accept Turkish players?

    Hi Casino Efendisi,

As far as our records indicate there are many Playtech sites that accept Turkish players, and many sites on other software also accepting Turkish players.

GPWA offers a search tool to find sites based on a range of criteria, including player location, software used, languages spoken by the affiliate managers, games offered (casino, poker, sportbetting, bingo, etc.), and some additional choices. The "Affiliate Program Gaming Site Search" tool is available at www.gpwa.org/affiliateprograms/affiliateSearch.asp. Or, if you get to it by mousing over where it says "Affiliate Programs" in the navgiation at the top of this page and then selecting the "Program Gaming Sites" option from the dropdown.

Here are results for two searches:
General gaming sites accepting Turkish players and offering Turkish language

Playtech sites accepting Turkish players and offering Turkish language

I think you will find the biggest issue with Turkish players is the processing which has about a 98% rejection rate.

Otherwise, the Turkish players you can get through the door are pretty high value.

Default payment methods for turkish players

Thank you for your answers. I know very good and convenient payment methods especially for Turkish players. If any online casino or poker room is interested and want to advertise their brands to Turkish players can ask me for this.

    Default Turkish Law on Gambling

I can see where they are coming from. Most of my traffic to my Turkish page comes from Germany. They seem to love their gambling more than the Germans, and I guess as the Turkish in Germany have what they call "Staatsangehorigkeit" IE Belong to Germany, that means they are allowed to gamble under German law just as a German citizen would.

With regards to getting more Turkish traffic, good translations and the targeting of German websites would be a good start.

Steven can you please tell me how these searches determine which program accept turkish players and which dont? Every one of our 18 casinos accept Turkish players and not a single one of them appear in that search.

EDIT: I should add that not all 18 casinos have the software in Turkish, but most do.

EDIT: I should add that not all 18 casinos have the software in Turkish, but most do.

Its based on the geographic restrictions details our content department gathers for the Casino City website.

Using Captain Cooks Casino as an example here are the geographic exclusions we're aware of (broken out by continent):

Asia & Middle East: Armenia Azerbaijan Indonesia Malaysia Pakistan
Europe: Albania Belarus Bosnia and Herzegovina Estonia Latvia Lithuania Moldova Montenegro Serbia Slovakia Slovenia
    North America: United States

Turkey is not one of the excluded countries, so it should up in the results for sites accepting Turkish players if no other restrictions are used. But it is filtered out if you also require that the software is available in Turkish.

There could be some out of date details in the Casino City listings -- it sounds like this is an issue of needing to update the software language details. We try to keep up with everything and have a pretty sizable team doing the research, but with the volume of data sometimes things slip by. If you could shoot me over an email I'll make sure the updates are put in place.

Incidentally, the results for sites accepting players in Turkey without any additional restrictions are available here.
