I know that I'm coming a little late and realise that I ought to be building other sources of traffic for my websites other than just working on SEO and Google rankings.
I've had problems with Facebook deleting my posts so so I'm more inclined to use Twitter.
I use Wordpress and installed a plugin that posts to twitter every time I publish an article and have been doing this about a year or so, more because I thought I had to rather than seeing this as a good potential source of traffic in it's own right.
Looking at other twitter accounts people are far more aggressive in their posting (Quantity and Quality) and I'm now thinking I should step things up, but I'm not sure where to start.
I need a strategy to follow, but not sure what that should be.
- Should I post directly into Twitter each day and have the posts go to relevant pages on my websites.
- How often should I be doing this.
- What have you found works for you well and can you share it (not in detail).
- What is the quality of the traffic like? Is is commensurate with Google search traffic.
- Is there anything that i should focus on first. (it's onlt me trying to juggle alot of things each day, so I'm prepared to allot an hour a day to this - is that enough?)
I sort of need pointing in the right direction to get started.
I'd be happy to document my journey for others to see / comment on, very much like the very useful posts Wonderpunter has been doing for his site.
Cheers in advance for any help / feedback.
