We are considering opening a youtube channel for our website where we would create videos on the different subjects of our website.
Anyone had any experience with this and how to have it boost your rankings perhaps?

Yes it will work but the videos that you will post should be good enough to make people to watch them, and you have to promote your channel too.

Youtube provides nofollow link so it would not increase your ranking but you can use it to drive traffic to your website tough.

First, you need a YouTube channel to post videos. Create YouTube channel and mention all the required detail. A video should be short and informative, use attractive title increase audience engagement.
