Use Hootsuite to distribute tweets to multiple accounts
Use Tweetmanager to send direct messages to your followers. Works just like email!!!

Link Twitter with facebook. And link your feed into tweet manager so it will tweet everytime u post!!!

I've been using hootsuite for about 3 months now and tend to like it.

also suggest www.monitter.com where you can have it monitor various keywords and can filter it by a physical location.

Heres one more important tool to use in twitter
twitterKarma
What twitter karma does is unfollow people who do not follow you back and mass deletes them.
This is key if you want to keep building your friends list as twittter only allows a 1000 difference your followers and those you are following

I stopped using twitter as much but still have over 7k friends on multiple accounts from the work I did in the past.

Ive never heard of tweetdeck. I really like hootsuite its interface is very intuitive. And you can see all your messegas, past tweets, pending tweets, for every twitter account.

Def hootsuite for me, I've always found it much more straight forward and I like the stats feedback you can get on clicks.
