Exclamation FAO Affiliate managers: Slots Observation

Thought I'd mention this to all AM's so perhaps they can pass this feedback onto the casino development staff.

As a slots player, if you haven't come across a particular slot game before, there is nothing more frustrating that some fluffy explanation like:

    Diamond Bonanza
You'll be sparkling if you win a diamond here! Try your luck and have a Diamond Bonanza. PLAY NOW >>
With apologies to Caesars Casino, that absolutely does not make me want to play your slots so I didn't sign up. If however it said something like...

    Diamond Bonanza
Win Up to 25 free spins with a 5x multiplier, stacked wilds and interspersed video footage. PLAY NOW >>
...I would be all over it like a rash!

It's not just at Caesars, it's the same at many, many casinos, especially the Instant Play versions (at least some software downloads give details of the features) where information is often too sparse to be of use.

Additionally it would be very helpful where you have a lot of slots to categorise them, not by paylines but by feature, whether it has stacked wilds, expanding wilds, big multipliers - the stuff that a slots player wants rather than the simplest way to categorise them.

    Cheers,

    Simmo!

This was posted in the private forum, which affiliate managers can not access. Ian, do I have your permission to move this to the public area?

Agree with you Simmo. Even a new slots player who might not understand what 5x multipliers and stacked wilds are will probably be more enticed to play by that compared to some obvious fluff that doesn't mean anything to anyone. Or are their people out there that think you can withdraw in diamonds?

Better to cater to at least one group of players rather than none.

totally agree. The writing style with new slots releases is always very cheesy. Am expecting the typical Haloween releases next week: "Spooktacular special features, which can see you reap-er the rewards"

    Great observation there Simmo!

We'll most definitely take this piece of advice to heart when we write content for our slots promotions. I agree that most of the captions released by online casinos to promote a new slot game/s are boring and very lame, it's the same old same over and over, again and again...

    Cass,

    Internet casinos

I was just thinking the exact same thing the other day when writing about a promotion. I just try to skip over all of that to find the real info I'm looking for, which can be hard to find in all the fluff.

I agree, providing info on the types of features is much more useful

I prefer the games that have multiple types of features as well, they usually the most fun to play. eg. Rocky, Gladiator, Arctic Treasure etc
the ones where you get 3 scatters for spins, or by getting a symbol on either end triggers a bonus round, or on reels 2-3-4.

The games that you need to accumulate scatters over and over on the same reel to trigger the feature I tend to avoid those, because if you raise and lower your bet amount a lot it doesn't carry over the ones you had built up, plus I like to jump in and out between games which doesn't suit those types of features.

You are totally right of course, what people want are facts.
