UpayCard.com - Warning
Sometime in 2017, I registered a UpayCard account. However, it wasn't until mid 2018 that I decided to make use of said account. Subsequently, I submitted KYC documents. These comprised of a utility bill, and an Australian Gov., issued photo driver's license. Both were accepted, and my KYC was completed. My account was fully operational.
Last week however, after logging into my Upaycard account, a notice was displayed requesting KYC. Today, I received an email requesting I update my KYC documentation. Seems Upaycard have a bizarre interpretation to what KYC is, and what it is not.
They're trying to say, because my Driver's License expired on the 31'st Oct 2019, that I need to resubmit a copy of my new DL. Well, that's just Hogwash. Because if that's a bona fide request, then a Utility Bill which can be no greater than 90 day old. In which case, that needs to also be updated every 90 days.
Besides, my identification does not become null and void, if or when an already accepted KYC doc(s) has been verified, if said doc(s) date expires.
At this point, I did some research and have discovered that the company who owns Upaycard (Moorwand Pty Ltd) has been mixed up in some very dodgy business of late. Namely, money laundering, and also brokerage scams. Notto mention a Ponzi scheme back in 2015.
The registered company Woorwand Pty Ltd who holds the FCA license for Upaycard, has since, and very secretly, transferred company ownership of Upaycard to PAP ONPOINT SERVICES LTD (Cyprus - new company operating Upaycard.com) which undoubtedly would forfeit their FCA license. AFAIK the FCA is not aware of this company change. The FCA licensing checker lists to OLD company records.

If anyone has a Upaycard.com account, may want to think about transferring all the their funds out ASAP.
From where I'm standing, everything could very well go pear-shaped, and ass up, with all accounts likely frozen.

We specifically advice visitors and subscribers NOT to open a UPayCard account. It's not worth the hassle, crap customer support, refusal to accept ANY legal ID that is accepted EVERYWHERE else (inc. govt-issued), broken PayPal transfer service, repeated debit card recalls and cancellations....
WORST e-wallet that ever existed. UPayCard is scum.

The only reason I used it, was to transfer funds from another wallet, convert that into BTC, then send to my btc wallet. Unfortunately Upaycard was the only Middleman I could find to do that
