I am certainly not a pro by any means, but your site is beautiful. I am impressed with the elegance. You may be new to the game, but you are well on your way! Well done!

ps. I love the way your pages dissolve, just like magic!

    Good Luck.

Welcome Can I offer a small piece of advice - You need to lose the white text on the light coloured background - this could get you penalised by the search engines

    Hi Cybermagyck,
You have a very nice look and feel to your site, but I see a couple of things that could give you marketing problems that would lower your conversions....

    1. The area you have the scrolling in is much, much too small. There's barely enough room there for 1 casino offer, then when it scrolls away, it's gone so the visitor doesn't have the opportunity to change his mind.

    2. The scrolling is a nice touch, but it's way too slow. Your visitors aren't going to sit there waiting for it to keep going and you're going to lose them.

If it was my site, I'd make the scrolling area large enough to contain at least 3 - 4 offers and speed it up, then limit the number of offers there to 8, so it repeats fairly soon.

Yachting Casino? I don't know if that's a good casino to carry - seems like I've seen garbage about them.

    Default A Little House Cleaning

    Hello again,

Ok... I backed up the older version at:
    http://www.casino-magyck.com/index-gpwa.html

And I revamped my site with a newer look at:
    http://www.casino-magyck.com/index.html

Personally I like the newer version better (But that may be because I worked on it for a full day or so)

If anyone else wants to review both pages and submit their opinions...
I would be most grateful for their time spent.

ALL OPINIONS ARE OF GREAT VALUE TO ME!!!

    BTW...

I also take in account those who may still be set at 800X600
This is about 1 out of 3 (according to my overall stats this year)

I really do enjoy your feedback and this AWESOME forum.

I have also added a link to GPWA at my links pages for Sysops

    Peace Out and Make Love ;o}

    Hi Cyber Magyck

The site uses techniques which present a REALLY nice picture to the visitor. Love the black and gold too. I do think though that it loads a touch to slowly and you will probably lose a good number of dial up visitors through that. It loaded slow for me anyway and I am using a 56K dialup from home.

You had one person advise you to lose the hidden text. I will only echo the advice. Spiders are not human so you can't hide from them. They will establish via whatever means (e.g. font color vs background color OR keyword density in a specific area) that you are using a forbidden technique. That will get you banned and from there, you will have a throw away domain. Rather use all the normal linking techniques plus SEO and you will do far far better in the long run.
    Have a wonderful day

Default I'm sure that's very good advise

I'm sure that's very good advise and NO...
I absolutely do not wish to get my domain banned from the major SEs

    However,
I am getting a few really good hits from google/msn/altavista ect....
All using keywords found in my metas plus the hidden textwords.

    If I remove this,
Will I lose the placement - ranking I have already established?

Is there any other way of matching body keywords to meta keywords without re-writting the body text throughout my entire site?

    Maybe using a CSS referal?

As far as the load time is concerned...

That has always been a battle for me
as I like all the "bells and whistles" for my site.

I am in this for the money, But I also enjoy "creating" an ascetically pleasing website for those who can enjoy it.

This also keeps my web authoring skills at a constant learning stage
by way of adding and embedding new styles and code.

Maybe later I can build a "click here if you have slow access/proccessing speeds" option.

    Until then,
Any other good advise is always welcomed.

Thanks to all who have taken the time to evaluate my site progress.

All that text at the bottom, hidden or not, is just search engine spam. Generally a bad practice. If you learn some basic SEO you'd be better off. That's the reason Google and most search engines no longer take meta tags into account in their algorithms is because people used to stuff them full of every keyword imaginable.

If Google did discover that, your site could be penalized, again whether it's hidden or not.

Write some good targeted content for the main page including, correctly, some of the keywords you want to target. There's no need to target everything under the sun, pick the best ones and target those. There are countless articles and websites on the internet dedicated to search engine optimization and ways to improve your rankings correctly.

    http://www.websitepublisher.net
    http://www.seo-guy.com

    Those are two good ones.

The scrolling frame is taking up valuable content space, one because no one is likely to sit there and wait for it to slowly scroll by, and since it's nothing but advertising banners, it's less likely someone will sit there and watch it. Also since it's Javascript, anyone coming to your site with Javascript disabled won't even see it (and alot of people surf that way), so there's even less content available. Again, good keyword rich content is the way to go.

You may initially lose traffic, but if you use good SEO tactics, you'll gain it back, and then some. That's just my 2 cents. I've learned a thing or two in the last decade or more doing this stuff.

P.S. - No right click scripts aren't generally effective and are more or less just annoying. Alot of people use their right click menu for more than just viewing source. If people want to view it, they will, like I did.

    Default Point well taken...

Thanks to everyone who has replied here so far,

Yes I did take the solid advise regarding keywords
    and removed them.

I will took shawn's advise and disabled the "right click" java

    Now to the scrolling ads...

I figure that I will probably have one or two ads in that area anyway.
Yes, most people will not see ALL the ads there,
But I do rotate them manualy everyday.

So the first one or two will be seen for sure
(unless... like Shawn they have Java disabled)

Maybe I'll cut it down in the amount of ad/banners and just push two or three offers using different banner/ads.

    Your thoughts on this:

    Again...
thanks for the community support I am receiving here
