urgent help needed on Forum Section

Hi All

My site is http://casinorecommender.com and

i have a forum section at: http://casinorecommender.com/casino-forum .

Up today i have received 18 members. But 0 threads and zero posts. I am using "Mingle Forum" plugin.

I think there is a barrier for the members to post in the forum. Or there is a difficulty on how to make it. But i am confused. Can anyone try to make a thread or post in this forum and tell me ?

Quick addition: I saw that in "General Settings" of WordPress there is an option of "New User Default Role" and currently it is set as "Subscriber". Can it be wrong ? I mean there are other options like; Editor, Contributor, Author etc... Does anyone knows about this please ? Because in 18 members it can not be possible for anybody not to post in this forum. Am i right ? Thanks a lot for your kind help and cooperation.

Log out of wordpress, and try signing up as a user - to your own site (using a different email address) and see what experience your members are having with your website.

Also dont be surprised if you get bots automatically signing up to your forum for the specific purpose of spamming links and content onto your board.

I have tried myself. It looks like working. But could anyone try and inform me please ? And is there another practicle yet powerful forum plugin recommendation ?

This is what I had used before: http://simple-press.com/ it a wordpress forum plugin. I found it useful while I had a forum section. With the introduction of comments, and social networks, forums on website started to become a bit obsolete, at least from my own observations.

Well I recommend the one I have pointed out to you, for 2 reasons. It integrates wordpress accounts with forum accounts and vice-verse, therefore your users will need to make just 1 account instead of 2 (if you are allowing wordpress accounts). The second reason is easy theme integration. Your new forum will show up as a page and your theme will be wrapped around it.

If you care about neither of those things, then I guess you are free to go with whatever platform you want to.

Hi Thanks a lot for the info. The first advantage is served in mingleForum also (which is the current one of mine). But in terms of integration this is very important for me. Onw quick question. Is it easy to implement ? Because i have moderate knowledge on WP .Lets say more than Moderate. But not advanced with php also. Thanks a lot

Thanks a lot. i saw it and replied it. What do you think as an objective visitor ? Is it hard to find how to post etc. ? I am asking because although we have traffic we do not have any forum activity. Thanks a lot

Is there a way to omit the right coumn on my forum page to make it a full forum page without the right column ? Thnx
