Default USA Payment Processors and RTG Casinos

I don't know if this is a stupid question, but I have been wondering how come some USA programs like Casino Coins have to close down due to USA payment processing problems when RTG Casinos seem to carry on fine and are still able to accept USA players?
Is it something to do with the license jurisdictions or what?

It comes down to the processing solutions available to them. I hate to speculate, because it does no one any good.. but... the merchants for the casinos may have shut down their processing options, or things might be getting too spicy with all that's happened in the US.

Hard to say but I do believe it has more to do with the payment processors than the jurisdictions. I mean if the payment processor can guarantee that deposits/withdrawals will go through without any issues or risk then the casinos can afford to stay where they are and continue providing services to players.

Would be interesting to know which PP provides services to RTG Casinos.

Another thing that people may be unaware of is that things like chargebacks affect the casinos being able to offer certain processors..

If there are too many chargebacks from an operator for example, the processor may decide not to work with the operator anymore. Operators also get huge fines for X number of chargebacks and also sometimes have to pay more in processing fees if they have too many.

Default This could be good for RTG

This could be good for RTG casinos. If they are going to be the only ones soon accepting USA players. Maybe all brands should switch....lol

I love the real series slots they have. Just need to worm out the dodgy ones from the good ones.

There are still processing solutions available for High Risk Merchants, maybe some of the casinos just don't know about it.

That's correct. Operators have to be careful because a processor can indeed decide to terminate business if the number of chargebacks is too high. Usually the way it works is that the processor imposes some sort of quota which the operator's chargebacks for a certain period (say 1 month or a trimestre) should not go above.

However, I don'e believe this is the problem in this particular issue we are discussing.

In regards to the chargebacks, you'll find that there is less room to wiggle with Gambling merchants(considered high risk processing) as opposed to a merchant which processes online shopping purchases(low risk processing).

Meaning that 1% might be all that a Gambling merchant might allowed for chargebacks, while a "normal" merchant might allow 2%.

I think they are aware, pros and cons for processing US transactions at the moment - the cons out weight the pros. Also the software / network can also dictate policy on where transactions are allowed from.

DOJ, viability of keeping US merchants up without losing past processed transaction, %'s on fees - all major turn offs.
