Yeah I'm aware, what I meant was I see a lot of very similarly styled ads that - whilst not to my taste - don't go to these extremes. I'm guessing it's the same people though?

Actually I don't think it makes you personally look bad. If no action were taken then it might, but a swift kick up the jacksie to the those responsible shows your position on it.

Well, that was a bit my point. This kind of companies, affiliates of whatever they are constantly are looking for crossing the lines to get some bucks. They're doing fake news ads for years now.

They might be able to bring some traffic, but they're also a risk that can affect the reputation of your casino. I think in regulated markets, casinos will be more and more responsible for what their affiliates are doing. And also thanks to this kind of affiliates, media buyers, etc that are constantly looking to cross the lines, rules are getting more strict and more bureaucratic.

I hope so, because this kind of affiliates, media buyers or whatever they might be, are destroying the party for lots of honest working people.

I think if I am not mistaken that these are the guys that caused 888 to be fined so heavily? So the UKGC is watching affiliates that don't abide by same principles that govern casinos regarding safe gambling etc will cause programs huge damage leading to many affiliate accounts getting closed over the coming months.

This has really put affiliate programs on edge and programs will 100% be focusing more on what affiliates are feeding players to ensure fines etc are not passed onto them .. the

888 got their record fine because their self-exclusion wasn't working well, but now they will face another fine because of some pathetic fake stories. Just like Sky Bet, Casumo and Ladbrokes.

A fake story is annoying, but even more annoying if it's actually an ad for gambling. Programs will focus more on what affiliates are doing, but I am curious who will feel the pain: just the guys that are behind this kind of crap ads or also other affiliates. In case of Sky, every affiliate is screwed. Not just Sky affiliates. Also everybody else is impacted somehow by the extra media and authority attention.

I couldn't agree with you more. I'm on your guys' side here. That cancer article especially hit a sore spot for me on a personal level. There were heavy repercussions internally for this article, trust me.

Looking at those articles that the others got in trouble for, it wouldn't surprise me if it was the same company doing them all. They make these stories up on their own - we didn't give them that content and would never have approved it. I am constantly reminding the media buyers about this too so it is in the forefront of their mind.
